Arthur lowered his head and saw her with her back to him, walking into the crowd.

He drew his lips back in a cold grimace, revealing snow-white teeth. He had originally wanted her to receive the punishment she deserved.

But her resulting reaction was very interesting.

Humans were all cowardly creatures that begged for mercy.

To be despised by one’s fellow humans, she should be upset and miserable, no?

Contrary to expectations, she acted like the victor and taught everyone a lesson.

Arthur couldn’t resist swallowing his parched throat.

Arthur lowered his thick lashes, the dense shadows veiling the red in his eyes.

His voice was soft and cool.

All kinds of cold, vicious, and twisted emotions flashed through these people’s eyes.

The next moment, Bai Weiwei understood why the atmosphere of the crowd had changed.

An egg struck her body. Bai Weiwei staggered, and her body was struck again by a stone.

She groaned.

These words circulated through the crowd, and jealous women rushed over in droves, wanting to tear out Bai Weiwei’s beautiful hair.

Bai Weiwei immediately turned and ran.

And the men’s eyes flashed with a lustful light.

During punishment, the crowd of people acting as the punishers were not guilty.

This allowed humanity’s malice to spread.

Bai Weiwei moved swiftly to avoid the women’s charge.

She finally understood that chuuni psychosis was infectious.

The mass behind her was like a crowd of rabies.

The streets were lively, and there were many things.

Bai Weiwei unleashed her abilities honed from watching many years of Hong Kong movies. She knocked down anything she saw and threw any chairs she came across.

She threw whatever she could see and dove into an alley.

It seemed that Arthur, that chuuni sicko was right; he did force her to kneel and lick his feet.

With the entire city attacking, it was completely possible for her to be beaten alive.

She didn’t expect that this plane’s male lead would have such immense power.

Sure enough, the humans had been brainwashed into slaves.

Suddenly, a stone struck her head.

Bai Weiwei’s mind went blank, and blood flowed from her forehead.

She covered her head, frowning and cursing them to go to hell. Just as she tried to run, she was ruthlessly tripped.

Bai Weiwei fell heavily to the ground.

She sucked in a breath. Her knees and elbows were scraped and bleeding. She lay on the ground.

A man had already pounced over and seized her long hair. “Your looks aren’t bad. After offending a high-ranking Blood Kin noble, killing you would be light punishment.” 

Several more men gathered around.

The women stood in the outer ring, watching her with malicious smiles.

Bai Weiwei didn’t have chuuni disease, but at this instant, she really felt that humanity was inherently evil1.

As long as they followed the crowd, even if they kill someone, they wouldn’t feel guilty.

Bai Weiwei couldn’t help but comment to the system, “Oh, as expected of this world. Only I am the purest, kind-hearted, determined, beautiful, sunny little sweetheart.”

Cheese: not super important to the plot, but when arthur refers to humans/prey/bww, he uses the counting unit that refers to animals, as opposed to people. it just helps to emphasize how much the vampires consider humans as beneath them and inferior to them

Also, the stone throwing part of the chapter here kinda reminds me of the short story “the lottery,” especially the part where they’re like “the people administering the punishment are not commiting a crime”
