She never begged for mercy, not making a sound.

But her steps slowed down, her body grew heavier, and her eyes were filled with despair.

The originally tranquil expression of the man standing at the peak of the tower sank.

The restlessness in Arthur’s heart continued to expand.

Beg. Cry. Show your most unbearable side.

His initial unconcern now became him staring fixedly on that little prey’s tracks.

Arthur lowered his head, watching her duck inside a dry well in a little alley.

Her face was bloodstained, but none of the brilliance in her beautiful cat eyes was lost.

He watched her coolly tie a strip of cloth around her ankle. It seemed she’d twisted her foot.

She lowered her head, but instead of crying dejectedly, she hid herself even deeper, vigilantly watching the mouth of the well.

She even held a wooden stick, as though to take down with her the people who harmed her.

Suddenly, Arthur couldn’t remember the flattery from the first day she’d met him.

No. It wasn’t that he couldn’t remember.

But rather that after recalling, he felt that her flattering was really seldom seen.

Because ever since her escape failed, she had never once fawned over him.

She staked everything, desperately trying to leave him.

So this was her true face. A human who hated Blood Kin.

Arthur’s icy, handsome features contorted, revealing a baleful smile.

He said softly, “Drag her out of the well.”

Bai Weiwei thought that she would hide for a little longer, but in the end, she was discovered and dragged out.

The calm and firmness even frightened some people into retreating.

A man rushed over, iron rod held high.

If this rod came down, Bai Weiwei would be paralyzed, if not dead.
