Chapter 187: Enjoying her misfortune

The sorry state of Su Lanfen was filmed and shared on various mainstream media channels.

In the Mealor Mansion, the huge LCD was displaying everything.

All the servants and the housekeeper were shaking. Elder Su had lost his temper and was throwing and smashing everything in sight since the morning.

His face was red. Since the morning, the events that transpired were too shocking for him. He had tried all his means, exploited all his connections to suppress the issues.

But the man, who thought he was omnipotent in the Beijing city, on the top of the food chain, was unable to do a thing about this matter!

This scandal... was just too disgraceful.

Especially now the sex tapes of his daughter were streaming on pornographic sites. Nothing could be more disgraceful than this. How was he ever supposed to show face in public again?

"I am f**king telling you! Stop the coverage right now or I swear in the name of my ancestors, I would make you pay!" Su Donghai screamed over the phone.

The recipient of his anger jumped in fright. "Y-Y-Yes Elder Su. I'm doing all I can!"

But the issue had blown uncontrollably. No matter what, there is always a threshold. After that, unless you are from a noble family, you can't suppress things.

Su Donghai slouched down on his chair looking somewhat defeated. "It seems there is no other way..." He whispered.

The Housekeeper heard this and immediately brought a glass of water in his attempts to pacify him. "Elder Su, don't stress yourself. This is not good for your health."

Su Donghai closed his eyes.

For a moment, under his eyes, the images of Jing Lihua and Tang Yuyan overlapped.

They appeared to be just one person, sneering down on him laughing at his disgraceful state.

"This scandal, who can be behind it? For it be so effective it has to be some powerful force." Chen Feng said. 

Chen Feng was the personal secretary of the President of Su Enterprise. Prior to Elder Su Donghai, he used to serve Su Liwei. After Su Liwei resigned, he had been serving Su Donghai. 

That man Chen Feng had his merits. The reason he was able to maintain his position was because of innumerable past accomplishments. Other than undermining Jing Lihua once, there hadn't been any mistake he had even done while passing his judgment.

At his question, Su Donghai merely said. "Which party had benefitted the most from this public outrage to the 'Su' family?"

Who had benefitted the most?

The answer was simple

It was Jing Lihua.

Chen Feng was astonished. 

"But how could she

have such influence to be the one behind this matter?" Chen Feng asked but there was a hint of reverence in his tone. Over the months, Jing Lihua had demonstrated such acumen and vigilance while dealing with internal affairs of her company that even Chen Feng, as an outsider and someone standing with her opponents had to acknowledge her.

"There is only one answer to this situation. That is... She used the Li family power!" Su Donghai' face darkened as he said.

Suddenly, everything made sense to Chen Feng.

Is this why Elder Su appeared to be so troubled?

If the 'Li' family was willing to extend its hands to help Jing Lihua in such a matter, then that meant her connection with them must be far stronger than they anticipated.

And it this was the case, they had a legit reason to panic.

"We can no longer continue to shield Su Lanfen. The way the situation is right now, there is no way to salvage the situation." Su Donghai said. There was really no other solution to the situation.

Between his position and his kinship, if he had to choose, he would choose the former without even blinking. 

What was kinship worth? If one had power, innumerable people would rush to him to offer their best wishes because of their kinship. But if he was powerless, those so-called blood relationships would be the first one to discard him and sneer at him.

So why must he put everything on stake to protect someone?

With a clear determination in his eyes, Su Donghai instructed Chen Feng. "Prepare to releases a statement from our PR"

Su Lanfen was more than certain that this matter had everything to do with Jing Lihua. She was already at the threshold of losing her sanity. The shock was simply too much for someone with a weak psyche like her to handle.

"F**king b*tch! If I don't make her ay a thousandfold for what she did, I would change my surname!" Her breathing hitched in anger. 

Her eyes were red, her makeup ruined. 

When Ye Xianxian came to offer comfort, she slapped her hand away. "Tell me! How I am supposed to live from now on? What am I supposed to do?!" Tears streamed down her face as she screamed. "That bitch ruined everything! Nothing can get back as to how it used to be!"

"Su Lanfen... Calm down..."

"How can I f**king calm down?! I have nothing left! Nothing!" Then she laughed maniacally. "That Jing Lihua thinks she is safe? But after doing this, she had committed the greatest mistake of her life! Now, I don't fear anything! Reputation, the public image, she had already ruined beyond redemption. So I don't care! She has set me free to do whatever I want! I won't hold back and make her pay for this!"

Su Lanfen was burning in the fire of vengeance. In her unstable emoti

onal state, nothing mattered more than seeking revenge.

While the car pulled closer to the Mealor's Mansion, unexpectedly the security stopped them.

"What is the meaning of this?" Su Lanfen was not in the mood of nonsense.

The security guards stared at each other. Then they openly sneered at Su Lanfen. "Miss, have you not heard of the statement from Elder Su?"

Due to her violent temper, Su Lanfen was generally disliked in the staff from all areas working at Mealor Mansion. So people wouldn't hesitate to secretly enjoy her misfortune.

"What statement?" In an instant, Su Lanfen's blood ran cold.
