Chapter 49 - Our New Home

Chen Hao could not muster the courage to tell MinFeng.

He took a deep breath before he spoke again.

Unfortunately, as he was trying to cross the highway, he was hit by a delivery truck. He died on the spot. Whether he's the main culprit or not, we were not able to find out. Please punish this subordinate for incompetence."

MinFeng wanted to roar but he held back his anger.

He was afraid that FengJiu might really wake up this time.

He could only swallow his anger and give instructions to Chen Hao.

"Search everything about that bastard. His background, his bank account, everything ! I need his data ASAP.

I also want you to investigate the delivery truck driver. The people who he met with during these past few weeks, his bank account, his background, anything that is related to him, dig everything!

I do not believe that what happened to that bastard was an accident. Someone wants to harm my wife!! I cannot just sit still and wait for nothing.

MinFeng's brows wrinkled as he clenched his fists.

He felt useless. Someone wanted to harm his wife but he could not even capture the real culprit behind her accident.

He was still thinking when he heard a female voice saying, "No need to investigate further."

It was FengJiu.

She 'woke up' and was currently staring at him.

MinFeng touched her cheeks.

"You're awake? I'm sorry to disturb your sleep."

FengJiu did not reply but there was a faint red color in her cheeks.

FengJiu looked at him sheepishly and shook her head.

"It's okay... MinFeng.. Do not pursue this matter anymore. It's useless."

After hearing FengJiu's words, MinFeng's brows wrinkled more.

He stubbornly asked her.

"Why would it be useless? Don't you have faith in your husband?"

FengJiu once again shook her head.

"I do. I know you are very capable, but... right now, even if you try to investigate it a hundred times, you won't find anything.

That person who wanted me dead won't do stupid thing like this without planning thoroughly. That person knows he or she is facing both Feng and Lu Family.

FengJiu grabbed his hand, trying to control his anger.

MinFeng stared at FengJiu.

Few minutes later, he sighed and ordered Chen Hao to retreat and wait for further instructions.

Chen Hao left.

MinFeng sat on the bed and cuddled FengJiu.

FengJiu smiled.

She touched his cheeks. She looked at him carefully and found that his eyes already had dark circles.

Her heart ached for him.

"MinFeng... It's not your fault.. It's my fault for not being careful."

MinFeng touched her abdomen.

He caressed it as if he was touching a precious treasure.

Although her tummy was still flat, MinFeng knew that there was a tiny little being inside her body.

MinFeng grinned foolishly.

FengJiu smiled.

"Little Bump.. this is your Daddy... Isn't he handsome?"

She giggled as MinFeng hugged her closer.

She was truly blessed to have him by her side.

FengJiu looked up and stared at MinFeng's eyes.

Tears could be seen forming on the side of her eyes.

The couple smiled and kissed.
