Chapter 756 Take me to your house

”Mr. Fu, what is your home address?”

In a light tone, Fu Ling replied, “Don’t send me back home, I can’t go home like this, all I will get a good scolding. I don’t was t to ruin the image my family has of me.”

Fu Ling didn’t want to get back home in a drunken state, otherwise, he will have to take full responsibility for his actions.

It was against the rule of the family to come home drunk, and the way he was, he was told drunk, and possibly, dinner might still be going on, or might already be over before he returns.

”If you don’t want to go back home, shall I book you a hotel?” Xiulan asked as she glanced at him.

As soon as she said that, Fu Ling quickly opened his eyes, and their gazes met.

”Why not contact all the press you can, and tell them to come and take photos of you taking me to the hotel in my drunken state?”

Xiulan was speechless at his remarks, but what he said made a lot of sense.

Given his family background and the kind of attention the media puts on them, it wouldn’t be difficult for him to be caught up in a scandal.

It could be very possible for anyone to take pictures of them booking a hotel room and going straight into a room, nothing was impossible for that kind of news to make it to the headlines.

Anyone could easily click that kind of picture and sell it to the media. And the end game would be Fu Ling’s company losing in the stock market because of rumors.

Xiulan didn’t want to be responsible for any of that. But there was a problem. If taking him to the hotel was off the list, where should she send him to?

With that disturbing thought in mind, she asked, “Do you have any friends around the City, where you can crash at their place?”

”Have you seen me with any friend before since the time you have been working for me?” Fu Ling asked with his eyes closed.

He was dead tired and couldn’t wait to lay comfortably on the bed and get enough rest.

”Then where do you want to spend the night?” Xiulan retorted, she almost scolded him in the process.

She was starting to get angry already.

Fu Ling released a deep sigh, “Take me to your house. I will crash in your sitting room. Tomorrow, when I have recovered fully, I will go to the hotel to shower and change my clothing.”

”You want to sleep at my place?” Xiulan asked almost in shock.

She almost crashed into a street lighting the process, but she was fortunate to get back her grip on the steering.

”Why are you acting so innocent? The other time, you so badly wanted to sleep with me. Now that I’m coming to you with open arms, you don’t want to embrace me?” Fu Ling asked.

Only God knew if he was aware of the kind of words that he was spewing at the moment. He must be too drunk to know what he was saying.

Xiulan got another shock and immediately retorted, “That was before, and Sir, how can you say these kinds of words?”

”Are you shy? Don’t be. When you told me to my face that you liked me, you probably didn’t know how that felt to me. You don’t have any choice but to bear with me.” Fu Ling sucked.

’Is he acting shamelessly with me?’ Xiulan thought with a rather confused gaze on the road. She was almost losing her mind because of his words.

Fu Ling, who was suddenly quiet, seemed to remember something and asked with his half-closed eyes, “You just said you used to like me before, does that mean you no longer like me? Did sending you to another department change your mind?”

Xiulan couldn’t get more shocked than she already was. How could she answer that question? She just ignored him and increased the speed of the car.

Fu Ling who was ignored didn’t seem bothered, didn’t see any bother because he had already continued with his speech.

”If you don’t like me anymore after sending you to that department, then that means you were only infatuated with me, you didn’t really love me. True love doesn’t die that fast!”

”Sir, will you shut it?!” Xiulan scolded with a brief angry gaze directed at him, while mistakenly pressing the horn of the car.

Looking at her face, she was too infuriated to bother about being rude to him, despite him being her boss.

She didn’t care if heard her or not, or if he would remember her actions or not because at this point, she just wanted him to shut his mouth and not remind her about some things.

Fu Ling didn’t say anything again after he asked her to shut up. He even adjusted the car seat and relaxed his back comfortably, as if he was in his right frame of mind.

For a second, Xiulan was almost scared, because the smoothness of his actions in that drunken state needed to be questioned.

For that send she watched his movement, she was almost sure that he wasn’t drunk.

The best thing to do whether he was fully wasted or not, was to give her gaze and concentration, back on the road.

About twenty minutes later, Xiulan pulled the sports car over at a block of flats, before helping him out of the car.

Thankfully, the street was dry, so no one saw her pulling over a drunk Fu Ling into her apartment, otherwise, her own reputation would be questioned.

Finally making it inside her house with her heavy boss, she threw him gently on her couch before stretching her body with an annoyed gaze.

Her sitting room was very small but tidy and clean.
