Chapter 677 Spicy chicken noodle soup

As Jia Li pulled Fu Hua to the noodles section, she asked, “Why is there a huge frown sitting on your face? If someone didn’t know better, they would think I have offended you.”

”Don’t you know you have offended me?” Fu Hua asked and followed her to the shelf for a particular noodle.

”How can you be so petty? You are not normally this way. You were always loving and anything I wanted, you will give to me, why are you acting this way?” Jia Li asked.

She felt that there was another personality inside of him currently. As she said, he used to do whatever he could to make her comfortable, but today, he was being so reluctant, especially in her condition.

”Am I not allowed to be this way?” Fu Hua asked in a tired tone.

”No, never! You have always been good and kind to me, so don’t deviate. That’s the only side of you I am comfortable with and accept wholeheartedly.” Jia Li said to him.

What more could Fu Hua say? He just let her do whatever she wanted. After shopping for the noodle stuff, Fu Hua went to the snacks section and picked a few varieties for her and Jasmine.

While shopping for snacks, Jia Li stood by the side and watched him. If he showed her any snacks she didn’t like, she would shake her head and turn away like a child.

’Are you serious right now?’ Fu Hua thought as lines appeared on his forehead. He was beginning to get a headache.

The snacks Fu Hua purchased were all healthy, and he mainly picked some nuts like almond and cashew.

When they got back home, Fu Hee who has been restless, after learning from Fu Ling about Jia Li slipping and falling in the bathroom, and being taken to the hospital by Fu Hua, sighed in relief when she saw the couple.

Fu Hee didn’t wait for their greetings as she quickly made her way towards them. Taking Jia Li’s arm, she checked her out while asking, “I heard you fell in the bathroom, are you alright?”

Jia Li smiled immediately and assured her that she was fine, “Mum, I’m fine, I only got a little bruise.”

”A little bruise? Don’t you know how serious this issue could be if you had hit your head on the tiles, or your stomach, given that you are pregnant?” Fu Hua scolded.

What was it that Fu Hua was talking about? None of it concerned Fu Hee right now, other than the fact that he mentioned Jia Li being pregnant.

Fu Hee gazed at Jia Li as if to confirm that she just heard. “Are you pregnant?”

A blush quickly crept up Jia Li’s cheeks. That question made her shy, but it didn’t stop her from responding. She nodded and replied, “Yes Mum, I’m pregnant.”

Fu Hee couldn’t hide her excitement after getting the information from Jia Li. She embraced her and said words of adoration to her.

Fu Hua glanced at the two women embracing each other with a frown, and when he couldn’t take it any longer, he separated them and pulled Jia Li away by the arm.

Fu Hee could only stand in her original position and said with a glare directed at Fu Hua, “Jealous boy!”

”Can you take it easy when you are pulling me around, I am pregnant, remember?” Jia Li gloated.

”I won’t be surprised if you want me to lie on the floor so you can step on my back because you are pregnant.” Fu Hua said without stopping in his steps.

Jia Li had a good laugh over his jokes while allowing him to continue pulling her towards their bedroom.

”What’s funny? You don’t think that’s possible? I already see myself going through your traps while this pregnancy lasts.” Fu Hua added as he opened the door to their bedroom.

”Don’t worry too much, I will take it easy on you. Take a quick shower first, I really need to eat these noodles in the next few minutes.” Jia Li said as she went to sit on the bed and crossed her legs.

Fu Hua gazed at her with a blank look. She needed his help with something, and now, she was giving him a time limit?

Jia Li understood that gaze and said with a frown, “Don’t look at me like that, the baby may want something else in the next few minutes.”

Fu Hua stared at her wordlessly before making his way to the inner room. As the door got shut, Jia Li laughed out loud and rolled on the bed.

”He looks so cute not knowing what to do with me.” Jia Li muttered in a low tone as she smiled to herself.

It was so fun to tease her husband.

In less than 10 minutes, Fu Hu was already done taking a quick shower and dressing up. Taking the leather for the chicken noodle soup, he left for the kitchen.

Fu Hua’s presence in the kitchen was a shock to the servants and the chefs.

”Sir, do you need anything?”

”Sir, what do you need us to do for you?”

”Sir, you shouldn’t be here, let us serve you.”

No matter what the servants said, Fu Hua didn’t pay attention to them. He just went about his business, while they stood at one side to watch him.

Little tasks like cutting the vegetables and peeling onions were done by Fu Hua. He didn’t request help from anyone, as he wanted to do everything concerning the chicken noodle soup by himself.

Some minutes later, he turned off the gas and untied the apron he wrapped around his body. A servant took the apron from him while another servant brought a neat bowl for him.

Fu Hua took the ceramic soup bowl from the servant and use the ladle to gently scoop the chicken soup and the noodle into the bowl. When he was done, he placed the bowl on the tray the servant had brought for him.
