Chapter 166 - Grandfather Fu Goes To Find Jia Li And Fu Hua

With a shocked facial expression, Fu ChunHua added, "Don't tell me you will request Father to allow Fu Hua to get married to the girl you approved as a second wife?"

Fu Hee rolled her eyes at her, got up, and left the dining table.

Fu ChunHua chuckled before going back to eating her food.

When Fu Hua entered their bedroom, he saw Jia Li sitting on the bed with her back against the headrest. Her face didn't look good.

"I brought you breakfast." Fu Hua said as he brought the tray of food to her side.

Jia Li glanced at the tray of food before her and frowned, "I don't want to eat."

Putting his hands on his pockets, Fu Hua asked with a frown, "Why would you not want to eat something? You didn't eat anything at the dining room."

"I don't feel like eating." Jia Li grumbled and looked away from him.

Fu Hua sighed as he pinched the space between his brows. Why did he feel that Jia Li was acting spoiled on purpose?

"What do want to eat, tell me, I will ask the kitchen to prepare it for you." Fu Hua asked.

"I don't want to eat." Jia Li insisted with her head turned to the side. She refused to look at him. And as she said that, her stomach growled.

Fu Hua saw the stubborn look on her face and began to ask himself when Jia Li learned to be stubborn.

"Why do you keep saying you don't want to eat when you're obviously hungry? Do you want to starve my child?" Fu Hua asked with a frown.

Jia Li glanced at him, as this was the first time he was personalizing that the child was his.

Before any of them could say anything, they heard a knock on the door and the old man's voice followed next.

"Fu Hua? Jia Li, are you there? Open the door quickly!" Grandfather Fu said from outside the door.

When Butler Lu knocked without saying anything, Grandfather Fu became impatient and had to call out to Jia Li and Fu Hua.

"Grandfather is here?" Jia Li asked in surprise as she gazed at Fu Hua.

Fu Hua could feel an incoming headache.? He shut his eyes and open them the next moment as the knocks continued resounding on the door.

"The old man is worried about you, at least now that he knows you're pregnant, get ready to be turned into a princess." Fu Hua replied.

Jia Li's eyeballs widened in shock before she placed a blaming look on Fu Hua.

She blamed him because she thought he was the one that revealed the news about her pregnancy to the old man.

"Don't blame me, blame your Aunty, ChunHua." Fu Hua replied before striding towards the door.

As the door opened, Grandfather Fu was already so impatient as he asked, "What took you so long?"

"Didn't you come to see your granddaughter-in-law?"? Fu Hua asked with one hand in his pocket and the other hand holding the door handle.

At his reminder, Grandfather Fu walked in without sparing another glance. Butler Lu nodded to Fu Hua before following after Grandfather Fu.

Fu Hua closed the door and joined them.

Jia Li was already standing when Grandfather Fu walked into the room.

"Grandfather?" Jia Li called out in a soft tone.

"Why are you standing? Sit..." Grandfather Fu said to Jia Li happily and even went to assist her to sit down.

Butler Lu brought a chair for the old man to sit close to the bed.

Grandfather Fu sat down and took Jia Li's hands in his and said to her with a smile, "Why didn't you tell me you were pregnant? If you told me soon, you wouldn't have had to suffer from doing the chores yourself, and Fu Hua didn't say anything to me."

"I'm fine, grandfather." Jia Li replied with a smile.

"How can it be fine? You suffered for so long and I didn't know about it. You don't know this, but when Fu Hua's grandmother was first pregnant, I didn't allow her to do anything apart from eating, sleeping, and having fun. The only thing she begged for my permission, was to continue with work in FJ, but I still monitored her because she was a workaholic. She dedicated her life to her family and FJ."

Jia Li didn't know the reason she felt so happy listening to the Old man. She felt the old man was sweet and must have been a very good husband to his wife.

After telling his story, he turned to Fu Hua who has been standing at the side and listening to him reminisce to berate him.

"What kind of person did I train you up to become? How could you allow your wife to struggle while being pregnant?"

As Fu Hua remained calm and composed, Jia Li came to his rescue.

"Grandfather it's not like that. He doesn't let me cook every time, and when we moved out, I didn't do anything. He moved all of our things over to the new house before I could return from school."

"Are you sure? Don't side him." Grandfather Fu said to Jia Li with a serious facial expression.

"Grandfather, I'm telling the truth." Jia Li assured him with a smile.

"I will believe you," Grandfather Fu said to her before turning to Fu Hua to say, "You are lucky that Jia Li is such a good person. Make sure you continue to take good care of her."

Grandfather Fu didn't wait for his response and started talking with Jia Li.

Fu Hua's phone rang and he walked to another corner of the room to answer the call.

"What is it?" He asked with a frown.

Grandfather Fu heard him clearly and turned to say to Jia Li, "What kind of Boss talks to his employees in that manner?"

'I think only he is capable of that.' Jia Li thought to herself.

After listening for a while, Fu Hua replied, "Don't call me again, I will be there in 30 minutes."
