"Dada, let me press the doorbell!" Little Melon's eyes were sparkling while he was looking up to his father.

"Press it just once, okay?" Xia Meilin said. It would be bad if Little Melon pressed it a couple of times because of his excitement.

"Okay, momma." Little Melon said obediently.

Lu Yifeng carried his son in his arms and allowed him to press the doorbell.

Soon after, the door went open and a beautiful woman with long silky black hair greeted them. She smiled happily when she saw Lu Yifeng. "Brother Yifeng, welcome... home..."

Her words trailed off when she noticed his companions. Her eyes instantly fell on Xia Meilin and the smile on her lips became stiff.

Just by looking at Nian Jiezhen, Xia Meilin's woman instinct instantly told her that this woman, Lu Yifeng's cousin, Nian Jiezhen likes her husband.

"I've brought my wife and son with me."

Nian Jiezhen was stupefied by his words, she felt like she was struck by a lightning and heart was crushed in an instant. Wife? Son?

Nian Jiezhen turned to Little Melon then to Xia Meilin.

"Hi auntie! My name is Lu Mello!" Little Melon reached out the bouquet of flowers to her. "For you!"

Nian Jiezhen's brow twitched but she managed to cover her uneasiness in a blink of an eye by smiling at them.

"Why, thank you, Mello." She accepted the flowers from him before she stepped on the side to give them way. "Come in, come in. You're just in time for dinner."

Lu Yifeng entered the house with his wife. He placed Little Melon down and held his hand instead.

"Brother Yifeng, you never told me that you're already married."

"I'm wearing a ring, that should be enough." Lu Yifeng's answer was simple and short.

Nian Jiezhen clenched her fists. His ring huh?

She went in front of them and started leading them to the dinning room. Since she was walking in front of them, Lu Yifeng and Xia Meilin couldn't see how cold her eyes became.

How can Lu Yifeng have a wife and son? She never heard anything about his marriage. Besides, Lu Yifeng would surely invite her in his wedding day but what was this?

When they entered the dining room, they saw a pretty middle-aged lady inside. She was placing the plates and utensils on the table.

"Mom, brother Yifeng is here with his family."

"With his family?" Jing Wanru raised her head and looked at Xia Meilin and Little Melon.

Xia Meilin smiled politely at her. "Good evening, madam. My name is Xia Meilin and this is my son, Lu Mello."

"My wife and son." Every time Lu Yifeng said this to others, he couldn't help but feel happy. Introducing Xia Meilin and Little Melon made him feel accomplished.

"You're married?"

Nian Jiezhen stood beside her mother and chuckled. "I know that feeling, mom. I was surprised too."

"That Jing Yue, how can she forget to let me know such an important news as this?" Jing Wanru sighed.

"We have brought some gifts for you and your mom." Xia Meilin turned to Lu Yifeng who was carrying the shopping bags.

Nian Jiezhen went to accept them when Lu Yifeng handed it. "Thank you, brother Yifeng... sister Meilin."

"It's from Mello too."

Nian Jiezhen chuckled. "Yes, and Xiao Mello too. Thank you." All Nian Jiezhen can do was to act how she usually do even if she was feeling displeased inside. Her plans for this night was ruined because of the two people Lu Yifeng brought.

Jing Wanru smiled in delight, "How sweet of you, dear. Why don't you take a seat? You shouldn't tire yourself, especially when you have a bun in the oven."

Because of her mother's words, Nian Jiezhen fell on Xia Meilin's bloated tummy. She was so distracted earlier that she wasn't able to notice that she was pregnant.

She couldn't help but burn in jealousy when she saw how Lu Yifeng was looking at Xia Meilin with a gentle gaze when he took off her coat and pulled out the chair for her.

Xia Meilin and Little Melon couldn't help but drool when they saw the food on the table. When Jing Wanru saw this, she chuckled. "I hope you'll like them, I made them all."

"Can we eat now?" Little Melon asked excitedly. He felt his stomach grumble because of the delicious looking italian food on the table.

"Sure~" Jing Wanru sat on her chair. "Come Nian Jiezhen, let's eat."

Nian Jiazhen went to take a sit beside her mother. She stared at Xia Meilin and Little Melon. Little Melon resembled Lu Yifeng a lot except for his hazel eyes and dark brown hair, they were from Xia Meilin.

Meanwhile, Xia Meilin was a very beautiful woman, her skin was as white as snow and fine like jade, with a natural blush on her cheeks. Her lashes were long and her she has a beautiful almond shaped eyes. She looked so innocent and fragile because of her looks.

Nian Jiezhen felt like she saw Xia Meilin somewhere. Her face really looked familiar.

"Nian Jiezhen, why are you not touching your food?"

"Oh... sorry."

Xia Meilin took a quick glance at Nian Jiezhen, a small smirk appeared on her lips as her eyes turned cold but as soon as it appeared it also disappeared, that's why no one was able to notice any changes on her... except for Lu Yifeng.

Lu Yifeng held her hand under the table which made her turn to him. She blinked a few times before she looked at him with her watery eyes, she looked like an innocent bunny. Her lips curled up, her eyes glittering in delight when she took a piece of meatball and fed it to him. "Delicious, isn't it?"

"Mm."

Xia Meilin took the napkin and lightly wiped the small sauce that was left on the side of his lips.

Nian Jiezhen tightened her hold on her knife and fork as she watched the couple in front of her. She couldn't help but feel bitter. Xia Meilin was definitely showing off in front of her!
