Chapter 182: Friends

Roxy and the others could see the somber look on Wang Hao’s face after he used the mirror.

They did not know about what he saw, so they could only guess on what he had seen.

“Wang Hao, are you ok? Roxy asked worriedly as she flitted beside him. Her green eyes looked concerned as she saw Wang Hao’s disposition suddenly changing.

The Wang Hao she knew was a lackadaisical, happy-go-lucky person. But right now, Wang Hao seemed to be carrying a huge burden on his back. A burden so heavy that even Wang Hao, who said that he was good as solving problems, was affected.

“You know, we are your followers right now. You can tell us about what you are going through now. Maybe we can help you.” Wang Hao was touched after hearing this offer from Roxy. As for Old Billy and Jin, they could only nod to express their agreement.

As for Gabrielle, she had no choice but to follow what Wang Hao’s followers did. After all, she was afraid of angering Wang Hao.

Huo Huangdi sneered upon seeing this while saying,

“So Wang Hao, these pups right here treat you like a mother dog! That was just fitting since you are a bit-” Huo Huangdi’s insult were interrupted by a woman who covered his mouth.

This woman was a red haired, black-eyed swordwielder. Two swords hung from both sides of her waist, signifying her expertise. She had a long slender body, with just the right curves. Her face was beautiful, with a disposition comparable to that of an assassin.

This woman as currently pouting as she covered Huo Huangdi’s mouth. She looked embarrassed as she bowed in front of them.

“I am really sorry for my lover’s rudeness! I will make sure to talk some sense to him later!” Huo Huangdi was about to say something when he was given a glare by the woman.

Huo Huangdi closed his mouth unwillingly as he looked away from Wang Hao. He gave an apologetic look to his lover as he grasped the mirror and muttered some words into it.

The mirror then gave a slight glow that covered Huo Huangdi’s body.

This made sure that what Huo Huangdi will see will only be seen by him.

While Huo Huangdi was busy on his viewing session, Roxy and Gabrielle flocked to the red-haired woman, clearly wanting to talk to her. Even JIeshu had her eyes on her direction, also interested on hearing stuff.

Wang Hao smiled, realizing that even a cold woman like Jieshu was also interested on love matters.

“Hey, what’s you name?” Roxy asked the most obvious question to her.

The red-haired woman puffed out her chest as she put both her hands on her hips. She then proudly said,

“My name is Uranus, Huo Huangdi’s lover and follower!”

“Pfft!” Wang Hao almost laughed after hearing that. Even Old Billy, Jin, Roxy and Gabrielle were a little surprised from hearing her name. Only Jieshu had no reaction to that name.

Of course, Uranus was embarrassed upon seeing that even Wang Hao and his friends know the double-meaning of her name. She could only stomp the ground with a red face while saying,

“Why are you all always like that? Everytime someone hears my name, that is their reaction! This is so embarrassing!” Roxy and Gabrielle then hugged the poor Uranus as she tried no to cry.

“What’s wrong with her name?” JIeshu tilted her head as she asked Wang Hao. Even though Jieshu was a cold woman, Wang Hao could not help but find her cute and innocent now. After all, a woman like Jieshu that do not know about the meaning of Uranus must be really that innocent!

She must not be tainted with the worldly affairs!

“Oh, we are like this because Uranus was a holy name, one of the names representing an integral part of the Universe.” Wang Hao said this bulls**t, wanting to protect Jieshu’s innocence.

“If you say so.” Jieshu then watched the other three girls happily talking to each other once more.

“….” Wang Hao felt pity upon seeing that Jieshu wanted to mingle with the other girls. She might want to do it, but her current circumstances does not allow her to do so.

He knew that with Jieshu’s status and power, other people will only be intimidated with her. This and her lacking social skills led to her loneliness now. Jieshu must have known that she cannot have any normal friendships now.

Jieshu saw Wang Hao’s pitying look and was about to say something when Wang Hao beat her to the punch.

“You want friends, right? I think I can help you.”

“Really?” It may be just miniscule, but Wang Hao saw some slight glimmer on Jieshu’s eyes. She approached Wang Hao and demanded to him,

“Teach me.”

Wang Hao resisted the urge to laugh upon seeing Jieshu struggling to ask Wang Hao for a favor with a cold face like that. Wang Hao shook his head as he said,

“Welp, that’s the first mistake you have in your conversation. If you want something badly, you need to use ‘please’ too.”

Jieshu nodded her head eagerly as she talked once more.

“Teach me, p-p-p-p-p-please…” Wang Hao now was sure a stuttering Jieshu was a national treasure that must be protected. He resisted the urge to smile as he said,

“Well, the first thing you should know is that if you want a person to be your friend, you and that person must share a common topic of interest. Only that will make you and that person closer. For example, you saw someone you want to be your friend. To make that person your friend, talk to that person about something that he/she loves. That will be your chance to make that person your friend.”

Even with her expressionless face, Wang Hao could see with his discerning eyes that Jieshu was excited. He then heard her muttering in a small voice,

“Then are we… friends now?”

Wang Hao paused, quite surprised that Jieshu actually wants Wang Hao to be her friend. But he only gave this thought a spare glance as he replied,

“Of course we are friends now.”

“Thank you, you are my first friend…” Wang Hao was slightly stunned when he saw a smile on Jieshu’s face. Her smile, which appeared on an otherwise expressionless person, emphasized her beauty more.

“Ughh…” Wang Hao had been affected by a critical attack! Jieshu is precious, she must be protected!

“Are you okay?” Jieshu’s expressionless mask was back as she saw Wang Hao clutching his heart. Wang Hao nodded his head, indicating that he was fine.

Wang Hao then used this moment to ask Jieshu,

“So, who do you want to be your next friend?”

“Huo Huangdi.” Jieshu took no delay as she gave her answer.

“Err… why him?”

“Because he can fight against me.” Jieshu said, as if it was the most normal thing in the world. “Since you are my first friend, Huo Huangdi will be my second.”

“….” Wang Hao knew he had no way to stop this now. What he could only say was,

“Remember what I told you to do. Say something to Huo Huangdi related to a thing he loves. To make it better, you can also flatter that thing that he loves. Once you do that well, friendship might be the next step.”

“Something Huo Huangdi loves….” Jieshu closed her eyes for a few seconds before opening it again. She had a confident look on her face as she said,

“I have a topic now.”

“Then goodluck.” Wang Hao and Jieshu then waited for Huo Huangdi to finish watching.

After 10 minutes, the glow around Huo Huangdi disappeared, and he let go of the mirror. Huo Huangdi had a satisfied look on his face. Clearly, what he saw must be good for him to be happy.

Huo Huangdi was about to go to Uranus when Jieshu started talking to him.

“Huo Huangdi.”

“What is it Jieshu? Do not try to ruin my good mood.”

Jieshu took a second of pause before saying,

“I think your lover’s name Uranus was lovely. I saw others having exaggerated expressions on their faces when they heard her name. That just means Uranus was a holy name, symbolizing an inviolable concept. I really think more people should have that name.” Wang Hao’s jaw dropped after hearing Jieshu say that.

Everyone was in stunned silence as Jieshu continued talking.

“As for what Uranus means, I am sure it represents a very integral part of the Universe. I suggest that if you two wants to adopt a child, you should name that child Uranus too.”

“……” Wang Hao could only curse silently to himself as he realized that Jieshu also sucks at talking!

“Jieshu!!!” Huo Huangdi’s body began to be covered with flames as he attacked Jieshu!
