She blinked gently and nodded quietly. “Okay.”

Something gleamed in Bo Jinchuan’s eyes and he planted a kiss on her forehead.

“Go to bed and rest.”

After Shen Fanxing nodded in response, he turned to go to the bathroom.

When he came out, Shen Fanxing was already lying on the bed. The bulge under the covers outlined her slender figure, and she had belonged solely to him in his territory.

Before he met her, he had never imagined that today would happen—

A woman would appear in his life.

His dark orbs scrutinized the figure who had taken up a corner of his bed. He pressed his lips.

“Are you asleep?”

With her back facing him, Shen Fanxing’s fingers turned white as she gripped the covers.

“No…”

Shen Fanxing’s clear voice sounded in the bedroom and the other side of the bed suddenly sank. Then, the covers were lifted and a strong arm was wrapped around her waist. With a little force exerted, she was pulled into his embrace.

She gasped out in surprise as the overwhelming scent of the man enveloped her. The refreshing shower gel and the warmth of his body was mixed together with hers.

“Why are you so nervous? Where’s your confidence from before? You shouldn’t be nervous now.”

She looked up at him and reached out to pat his waist lightly.

“It’s unavoidable. Bear with it.”

“I’ve been all this time.”

“Qingzhi called me today. You want me to participate in the scent-making contest with Shen Qianrou?”

He loosened his grip on her waist and allowed her to rest her head on his arm.

Shen Fanxing looked up at him in surprise. “That’s your motive?”

“Why? You’re not confident of winning?”

“Not really, but your decision has angered Qingzhi.”

Bo Jinchuan raised an eyebrow and asked, “You want me to help her secretly?”

Shen Fanxing paused and shook her head. “Qingzhi doesn’t advocate using connections to get what she wants. However, since she has the connections, it’s a pity that she didn’t make use of it.”

She paused before asking, “Will you use your influence then?”

“Why should I? She’s not you.”

“I have to prepare well and strive to enter your mall. Does that mean I’m your colleague?”

“Hmmm, sounds good. After the competition, you can come to my company and be my special assistant, okay?”

“Special assistant? Like Yu Song?”

Bo Jinchuan’s face darkened and he lowered his head to bite her lips. “Do you think Yu Song and I can be this intimate and share kisses?”

Shen Fanxing blinked, her beautiful face turning red. But she couldn’t stop herself from bursting into laughter.

“The rumors are flying around saying that you and Yu Song are a couple. In the eyes of others, both of you can hug and kiss like that…”
