Chapter 1083 Futuristic City Part 2

The girl did not even get stopped by the cops that were already gathering outside as she walked through the neon lit streets of the megalopolis that seemed to span the entire planet. "How long has it been since I been to a world with such high technology?" 

The girl walked through the streets. The rain showering down, soaking the sidewalk did not even seem to touch the girl. Even with her bare feet taking step by step on the rain soaked path ahead of her, she still did not get a shred of water on her. 

The passerby looked on in a bit of confusion, seeing the strange girl who walked around a city like this barefooted, not to mention how she was not even getting wet by the rain. Although many were curious, no one stepped forward to ask how she was doing it. They took out their mobile devices and recorded it and posted it on social media channels. In just a few minutes, the girl became a hot topic on the internet, with people wondering what kind of special tech she had gotten her hands on.

It was then that the girl smelt something good. Her nose twitched as she smelt the thing she wanted to eat most at this time. As people recorded her, she disappeared from sight as if she was never there. On this day, the girl became the ghost lady of the business district. 

When the girl reappeared, she had an arm full of cooked meat as she sat on a dumpster in a back alley and ate the freshly cooked meat while a few blocks away, an older man stared at his empty stock in shock. It was there a few minutes ago, but now it was gone. He did not understand how it disappeared! What he did notice was that all the vegetables that he had laid out were still there! They only took the meat! 

Licking her fingers, the girl let out a satisfied burp before hopping off the dumpster and standing about a centimeter off the ground. She then walked back out into the busy street, looking around to see if she could find a place to stay.

After a while, she finally found a place. It was a game center. They had private booths, and they were open all day and night. The only problem was it needed money. While cheaper than a hotel, it still required money she did not from this world. Thinking for a moment, the girl walked down a back alley until she found a bunch of thuggy looking people all hanging out drinking next to a trash can that was lit on fire.

"Oh? Look at this cutie. Did you come here to have a good time?" One of the guys asked as she stumbled over toward the girl. 

The girl sneered at first but then put on a bright smile as she said: "Mmm... I did…. Let's play, shall we? But first…. Money." 

"Hoho! I like this girl! Sure! To get a good lay from you, I will pay any price." The young man took out his wallet and was about to reach in to take some money out when he felt a sharp pain coming from between his legs as a cracking sound filled the back alley. 

The wallet that was once in his hands was now in the girl's hands. She stuck it into her space before turning to the others. "Come, let's play." 

Not even a second later, high pitched screams came from the back alley. The culprit of these screams looked through the loot she had gotten and pocketed the things that looked like money. Only then did she toss the wallets aside and walk out back towards the game center.

Upon entering, she did not go to the counter right away she watched as others paid for things. Only when she was sure she had the right items to make payments with did she go to the counter. "Can I help you?"

"Mmm… One room, please." The girl replied. 

"It is 5 credits an hour." The clerk reached out her hand which the girl nodded and took out a card and handed it to her. The clerk took it and scanned it. Once it was approved, the clerk gave the girl a key and said: "You are on the second floor room 23." 

"Thanks." The girl answered as she walked towards the set of stairs at the side. She noticed the first floor seemed to be all long tables with computers. There were many people, boys, and girls playing games at this time, even though it was really dark out.

The girl quickly found her room and went inside. It was not all that big, around ten feet long and five feet wide. Enough room to lie down if she wanted to. It had a desk that rose up just above her knees with a computer on top. Above that was even a tv screen, so it was not too bad.

"Now I can at least gather some information. I wonder how much money was on that card…" The girl sat down and waved her hand. A bunch of water screens appeared, showing multiple young women and a handsome man within them. "I wish Creige was here…." 

Yes, this girl who seemed to be fitting in quite well in a futuristic society was none other than Kana…. She had been transported here and would need to spend three months here. While she had a bit of a rocky start, she was now in a place where she could relax a little and gather information. After a few minutes of watching her family, Kana got rid of the water screens and turned the tv on, and began checking the news channels. At the same time, she booted up the pc and opened the web browser. The more information she had, the better at this moment and time if she wished to have an easy three months.
