She lifted her hand and pinched his elbow harshly. “Go ahead and kill me then. You dare to threaten your great…” Upon meeting his gaze filled with murderous intent, she swallowed the word ‘grandmother’ back.

After Qin Hefang passed away, the Bai family upheld their word. Although almost everyone knew of her feelings for Bai Chenxi, her marriage contract with Bai Qinghao became a promise that could not be shaken.

She shrugged casually. “Didn’t I already say this? If you wish to kill me, go ahead and do so. This young lady will not be affected by any threats.”

A hint of frost appeared in his heavy, stern gaze. She could not help but tremble under his eyes. “You mean to say that you’ll still return to the way you were before?”

“What do you think?!?” She became angry as well. Did he trust her so little?

But then she recalled how untrustworthy her previous actions were.

She could only add on softly. “Bai Qinghao, as long as you don’t change, I’ll never change.”

Earlier, his murderous intent had not been fabricated.

If she dared to say she planned to return to the way she was before, killing her right now would be easier than facing the rage that was sure to come.

After hearing her response, a hint of a smile appeared on his lips. His feelings for her would never change.

He lowered his hand and wrapped his arms around her, bringing her into his embrace with a sigh.

This was his first time realising that she would not bend under his threats. Was he doomed to bow to her will?

It seemed like his little woman had a bit of a temper.
