Halfway out, he rushed back. Too short on time to find her clothes, he simply tore off a large piece of curtain and tightly wrapped her from head to toe.

Then he suddenly vanished in place.

Not even his afterimage could be seen.

Elizabeth, finally released from confinement, emerged exhaustedly.

That was when she saw her noble Highness the prince appear in front of her. “Capture and bring back a few human doctors, in all haste.”

Elizabeth was taken aback.

She noticed Bai Weiwei in his arms, silent and shallowly breathing.

Arthur gave her a sidelong glance of vicious fury.

“What are you still standing there stupidly for? Get out.”

Elizabeth retreated several steps in fright and quickly turned to flee.

Of course she knew why he wanted her to capture doctors. It was because capturing was the fastest method.

No need to waste time gabbing.

After bringing back the human doctors, Elizabeth entered and spotted Arthur squatting by the sofa, holding Bai Weiwei’s hand and staring intently at her face.

The doctors tremblingly came over, even forgetting to salute.

But Arthur unexpectedly overlooked this and stepped away, allowing the doctors to pass.

Arthur: “Hunger?”

Bai Weiwei’s heartbeat settled down, and her complexion improved.

Sunlight projected from the window, shining down on her body, looking cozy and warm.

Arthur did not avoid the sunlight. He sat next to her, hands propping his chin as he watched her with narrowed eyes.

When her lashes trembled, his tightly clenched heart suddenly relaxed.

Then he saw her open her eyes, her pupils brightly shining and extremely clear.

She seemed puzzled as she stared at the ceiling. Then she suddenly thought of something and turned her head to look at him.

Arthur straightened up, his movements deliberately graceful.

He said loftily, “You’re awake. Why did you not tell me you lost too much blood? I could have postponed the blood sucking for later.”

Was he that scary? Excessive blood loss was extremely painful for humans.

But she silently bore it without a word.

If not for her being unable to hold on last night, wouldn’t he have f*cked her to death?

Bai Weiwei looked at him strangely.

She moved her lips, her voice somewhat hoarse. “Last night, was it you who took care of me?”

Arthur clasped his hands together and placed them beneath his chin, giving a faint hum.

“Why, are you moved? I was the one who watched over you, all night.”

Bai Weiwei weakly curled her lips into a mocking smile.

Arthur thought she was going to curse him again.

But she suddenly said softly, “Thanks.”

Arthur paused for a moment before blinking his eyes, as though he’d just heard something incredible.

Thanks.

He could actually hear such words from his little prey’s lips.

He’d thought she would resist to the very end.

After Bai Weiwei spoke, she turned her face and didn’t look at him again.
