Chapter 2217.1: The Nine Oscillations of the Heavenly Sword

“It’s the Roving Dragon battle formation of the Roving Dragon Sect!” Yun Shuige brightened when he saw Mosi Yuxiu’s men assemble together. “Fellow daoists of the Roving Dragon Sect, I will remember this favor!” A keen light danced in his eyes.

While the Roving Dragon Sect was only a mid tier sect in Great Xia, its potential was enormous. It would be quite ideal if he could recruit the sect to his father’s banner on this trip. Yan Guichi had just been made a titled king and Marquis Skycloud was of the same mind as him. They were one faction and in the midst of expanding their power.

Being one of the marquis’ sons, Yun Shuige naturally inherited his father’s ambitions. Making new allies and drawing in others came as easily to him as eating and drinking.

“I want him alive!” Yun Shuige lit up. To him, the only thing of note about Lu Yun was his body method. Mosi Yuxiu’s weapon happened to be the perfect counter to it.

“Hahaha, just give it up, junior! My fly-whisk is the accumulation of… eh…” Just as Mosi Yuxiu was about to launch into proud speech, an even more scintillating ray of silver erupted within the cocoon and sliced through all of the silver threads.

It even reduced Mosi Yuxiu’s weapon to an empty stick.

“How is this possible?! My fly-whisk is made from the silk of the Silverleaf Silkworm! Ordinary immortal weapons cannot destroy it, how did you do it?!” gasped the elder. He’d once employed it to take an empyrean immortal alive, but a mere soul separation cultivator had ruined it!

“Pfft, Silverleaf Silkworms are second rank immortal beasts, the equivalent of true immortals. Their silk is a rare treasure, but you turned it into a dao weapon? If I were you, I’d be too embarrassed to speak of it.” Lu Yun curled his lip and employed his body method, flashing through the air as numerous indistinct shadows.

The void was sealed off by two battle formations working in tandem. Immense and forceful attacks continuously cut through the sky.

“This won’t do!” The young man frowned. These two formations exceeded high rank battle formations. He would be injured if he was hit by them.

The void trembled as the haphazard attacks coalesced into nine cerulean dragons. When the dragons roved through the air, the ambient energy of the place of burial was agitated and surged in their direction.

Replete with scales and claws, the nine seemed like true dragons and each emanated a terrifying aura. They would be able to tear even empyrean immortals to pieces!

They pounced on Lu Yun as soon as they formed; the Ly young master discovered to his shock that they’d sealed off this area!

Yun Shuige remained unmoving, but his face was dark. Most Yuxiu trembled like a leaf and didn’t know what to do in the throes of his horror.

There were nine strokes to the Nine Oscillations of the Heavenly Sword, but a lack of definitive techniques. Their sword qi melded into the void and made it impossible to guard against. Each stroke accumulated on the ones before and was stronger than each preceding one. If all nine were deployed, heaven and earth would shift and immortals terror-stricken.

“What a tremendously strong attack!” Yun Shuige’s longsword flared with cerulean luster. “You’re just soul separation… If you had enough time and space to grow, you’d be another White. Unfortunately for you, you do not have such luxury.”

Bathed in gentle blue light, Yun Shuige slowly floated up from the ground. Rays of splendor circulated around him. He was a premier genius, but compared to the truly monstrous geniuses, he was too far removed from them. The perverse geniuses of Great Xia were able to kill immortals when they were cultivators.

The cultivators were already reeling from the backlash of the formation and dealing with heavy injuries. They’d relaxed when they saw their young lord deploy an ultimate move and run through Lu Yun’s body. Who would’ve thought that their quarry would run through them and erupt in slaughter instead?

“So it’s you, no wonder you dared set yourself against me… You’re Lu Yun, grandson of Lu Tianling!” Yun Shuige recognized the Eighteen Cerulean Sword Dragons as soon as the other deployed it.

Marquis Cloudsky and the Origin King were on the same ship. The former naturally investigated anyone who was enemies with the Origin King. The Eighteen Cerulean Sword Dragons was Lu Yun’s trademark move.

“If my guess is correct, the pagoda from the legendary Mindful Immortal Potentate of the world of immortals is in your hands,” Yun Shuige said coolly as he calmed down.

If Terra Demon could survive, then being on nearly the same level as him, of course the Greedy Wolf Immortal King could as well.

It was because Lu Yun possessed Hongmeng qi from the Nine Chapters of Dao that he was able to do all this. Any other cultivator wouldn’t be able to do the same.
