“Don’t worry,” Lu Tianling smiled faintly. “Yun’er seems to have gained a great personage for a master. The venerable one deployed the Dream Sutra to teach Yun’er in his dreams. Even I don’t know what he’s learned.”

“The Dream Sutra, disseminating dao through dreams?!” gasped Situ Wenxian, unconcealed shock in his eyes.

Ouyang Shengtian’s back was drenched with sweat. Never did he imagine that his final trump card would save his life at a critical moment. He regarded Lu Yun with a frosty look; the three spears flashed through the air as his aura built.

The Lu young master snapped his fingers and collected drifting sword qi into one ray of crimson sword light. It landed in his hand as he faced off against his opponent.

“Lu Yun, this young master is not in the mood to fight you within the Dark City boundary today,” Ouyang Shengtian suddenly laughed and swept a look beneath him. Too many Hidden Dragons were gathering for his liking. A jade talisman appeared in his hand; he was gone after a flash.

“Situ Wenxian, Lu Tianling, my Ouyang Clan will reside in your Darklake Empire for temporary safekeeping. If anything happens to my family, I swear I will make rivers of blood run in Dark City!” Ouyang Shengtian’s voice rang through the capital.

“A Movement Talisman? Interesting.” Lu Yun didn’t prevent his opponent from leaving.

When Ouyang Shengtian reappeared, he was next to Ouyang Biegui.

“You’re back, good, good!” The elder was much relieved to see Ouyang Shengtian return. After Ouyang Batian and Ouyang Baiyi’s defeat, only Ouyang Shengtian, Ouyang Shenghe, Ouyang Shengmu, and Ouyang Shengxian were left of the clan’s direct bloodline. He didn’t care about the others.

“Lu Tianling, what do you have to say for yourself?” Envy flashed through Wang Song’s eyes as he looked at Lu Yun standing in the air. He gnashed his teeth and sneered up at Lu Tianling, “Darklake is a third rank empire, yet conceals soul projection cultivators. You do indeed harbor unsightly ambitions!”

“That’s certainly an overexaggerated accusation, Your Highness the Crown Prince,” Lu Yun interjected. “Darklake Empire was made independent from Dark Orchid a month ago. What does it have to do with you whether or not Darklake possesses soul projection cultivators?”

“Hmph!” Wang Song’s face darkened when he heard these words.

Dark lightning split the sky as three figures in black appeared. Dressed in black battle armor, they wore upper dao rank blades on their backs and looked down impassively.

“Darklake Empire has seceded from Dark Orchid and Dark Orchid has no right to move against it for the next one hundred years. With what reason does it declare war this time?” majestically intoned the man in the middle. It was Terra Demon’s disciple—Helian Shan. He presented the image that he should, one of an impartial and just law enforcer.
