Chapter 80: Ultimatum

“Are you still afraid that something will happen to me?” Grandma said sarcastically. “If you were really afraid, you wouldn’t have divorced Ran Ran and married that woman!”

“You can do such a thing because you’re afraid I’ll live for a few more days!” Grandma stood up immediately. Her blood rushed up and her body was a little unsteady.

“Grandma!” Two voices sounded at the same time.

Chen Chen went forward to help Grandma up. He turned around and saw that it was Bai Ran running over from the door.

“Grandma, are you okay?” Bai Ran ran to Grandma’s side, her eyes filled with anxiety. “Don’t worry about us juniors. It’s not good for your health.”

“How can I not worry? Who asked you to let that woman interfere?!” Grandma touched Bai Ran’s hand and felt her heart ache.

“Am I the one interfering? Chen Chen has clearly loved me for more than ten years!” Hu Wan actually came forward.

“But you’re not the one he registered his marriage with!” Chen Chen’s mother shouted from the side. “Give up on that thought! He can’t marry you!”

“Why are you here?!” Chen Chen frowned.

“If you didn’t insist on making him come back, he would have registered his marriage with me by now!” Hu Wan’s eyes were cold as she walked in.

“Did he do it on purpose? He took care of you for more than ten years because of his own mistakes. It’s enough! You’re too greedy! You have to occupy his entire life, right?!” Grandma said louder and louder, her chest heaving up and down.

When Bai Ran saw this, she went forward and rubbed Grandma’s heart to soothe it. “Grandma, don’t be angry. Sit down first.”

Bai Ran helped Grandma sit down, but she was thinking about what Grandma meant.

What did she mean by Chen Chen making her illness worsen? So Chen Chen’s sudden change back then was not because he had moved his love to another person, but because of another reason? But he had also persisted for more than ten years. If there was no love, how could he have done it?

Hu Wan walked to Grandma and explained, “If Chen Chen had no feelings for me and only had responsibility, how could he have treated me like this for more than ten years? He was even willing to marry me? He knew that I was about to die and could not give him the happiness of the rest of his life.”

“What else? You use your body to threaten Chen Chen all the time. What choice does he have? Do you really believe that he loves you? If he does, do you still need to do these things?” Grandma smiled disdainfully.

“I’m not doing anything. I just feel a little uncomfortable and want Chen Chen to accompany me. I don’t have any other intentions.” Hu Wan squatted down and placed her hand on Grandma’s knee. “Grandma, can’t you accept me? You watched me grow up. Why can Bai Ran be your granddaughter-in-law but I can’t?”

“Get up.” Grandma did not care about Hu Wan’s low posture at all and directly pushed her hand and arm to the side. “That’s because I’m not blind yet. I know who’s the best wife for Chen Chen.”

Hu Wan took the opportunity to lean back more, pretending to be pushed to the ground by Grandma. “Grandma, I’m begging you. Since I was young, I’ve only loved Chen Chen. I really want to be with Chen Chen!”
