Chapter 78 - Did You Really Think I Would Always Be As Nice As Gentle?

"You are doing this on purpose, aren't you, President Li?" Chen Yi continued to argue as they made their way the private elevator that led to the uppermost condos. 

Li Luxian was silent most of the time acting cool and enigmatic. He quietly entered the elevator and leaned against the wall with a lazy expression in his eyes. The way he looked at her; his gaze was infused with nonchalance.

He was totally not taking her seriously?

How could Chen Yi tolerate this?

Wasn't this an open provocation?

Once the elevator door closed, Chen Yi didn't hold back anymore. She grabbed onto Li Luxian collar without any restrain and glared at him with her pretty fiery eyes. 

"I won't let you win on this one!"

If they were supposed to live this close, what was the point of her demanding a separate lodging anymore? She didn't want those people to find. She didn't want to put herself or Li Luxain in danger.

She was surprised when a low chuckle escaped Li Luxian lips. Instead of being intimidated, he appeared to be pretty amused at her response. His eyes sparked with a devilish glint as his intense gaze landed upon her little fiery face.

Chen Yi blinked; suddenly all confused that what had taken over her obedient and supportive little hubby?

The aura around him had become so intense!

Why did he...all of sudden...look so domineering? Ah!

But it was not a bad kind of domineering. In fact, it was a handsome kind of domineering. Chen Yi couldn't deny her heart rate picked up.

Before she could retract her hands, a large, warm palm raised and encapsulated her little hands within its firm and unshakable grasp. At the warm touch, Chen Yi felt a sudden electric shock. She instantly pulled away her hands in surprise.

But her actions were fruitless.

The man's determined hands were not yet willing to let her off. His hold over her hands tightened, holding them in place. 

His other hand went up to her face; the back of his pam caressed her soft cheek as his eyes continued to keep her drawing into that endless abyss. The gentle touch filled Chen Yi's heart with a peculiar feeling. Peculiar yet it felt good.

Being gazed at so deeply and being caressed so affectionately, Chen Yi felt her throat gradually drying up.

Still, with a sexy smile upon his lips, Li Luxian said. "I wonder, when did my little wife become so...daring?" His eyes shimmered with intensity making her gulp in nervousness. The back of his palm continued to caress her cheek sensually. His hold over her hands seemed to tighten a bit as if he was telling her to listen intently to whatever he had to say. And surprising, his mini gestures had the most accurate effects upon her. "Wife...have I been too lenient on you? Should I...perhaps...teach you...some discipline on how to behave with your husband?" 

Once her hazed mind registered his words, Chen Yi immediately felt a rush of heat towards her face. In an instant, she knew her face must be a scarlet red now.

"Who is going to teach me discipline? What rubbish!" Chen Yi rebutted in response as she tried to keep her breathing in check. Suddenly, she felt as if it was too hot in that elevator.

She became conscious of the fact that she was alone with the devil in a closed and relatively tiny space.

Once again, she tried to pull her hands away and create some distance between herself and her hubby who seemed to have switched into a dangerous mood. However, Li Luxian didn't let her. 

Her tries to get away seemed to make the man unhappy who held her close. In reaction, he pulled her even closer. With a jerk, the hand that gently caressed her cheek went around her and landed on her nape, pulling her face closer to him. 

Their faces were so close that their noses were almost touching. Just a simple push and... their lips would meet. At this close proximity, Chen Yi could sense his crisp breath spreading upon her face. Once again, she gulped nervously.

Chen Yi blinked twice before looking into the eyes of the man that now seemed to be holding a hint of warning. For a moment, she was lost in those beautiful eyes. Even when looking unsatisfied, they held inexplainable charm within them. No matter what expression he wore, he was always so mesmerizing!

"W-What's the deal?" Chen Yi finally asked. 

Li Luxian raised his eyebrow as if he could not understand her. However, the wicked glint in his eyes told her otherwise.

"Why are you acting so..." Chen Yi could not find words to complete her sentence. What was she supposed to say? Why was he acting so...seductive? Domineering? Dangerous?

He leaned in towards her and whispered close to her ear. His breath prickled her skin making her hair rise up. "Does my little wife find something unusual?"

The confidence in his tone made her doubt herself. As if he was acting totally normal and it was all in her head. "Ah...I didn't mean it like that." She hurriedly said, not wanting to embarrass herself.

No, this was wrong! He was definitely trying to actively behave differently. Otherwise-Otherwise why would Chen Yi be feeling so different and flushed?

Up this close, Chen Yi could smell his faint masculine mint scent. She could not deny that it made her somewhat intoxicated. Slowly yet steadily, she found herself leaning in wanting to be closer to that Devil, wanting to be drowned in his intoxication.

It was not until the smile upon his lips suddenly became vivid and teasing that Chen Yi snapped out. She mentally slapped herself to pull herself from the spell under which he had put her.

Li Luxian observed each and every of her tiny little response. A fascinated chuckle escaped his lips.. "My dear wife, did you really think I would always be as nice as gentle as I was back at my parent's home?" His dark voice whispered into her ears.
