Last night.

After tucking his wife on the bed, Yu Chen sat on the bedside for a long time. He stayed there like an immobile statue, just staring at his wife. It was already past midnight when he decided to step out of Xiaolei's room. He walked past Juu who was sleeping on the couch and stood by the window. He was staring at the darkness with an unbelievably dark and forlorn expression.

The man just stood there. His gaze was focused far ahead to the darkness as if he was contemplating something utterly deep. After another long period of time, he finally moved. He walked and sat on the couch across Juu and opened his laptop.

He tapped on his keyboard and focused on the computer's screen for almost an hour. His brows were tied in a tight knot and his face was getting darker as time went by.

And then, he sighed. He pinched the skin between his brows before he brought his phone out and sent a massage to Sei.

He threw back his head and stared at the ceiling. It was already three in the morning when his phone vibrated.

Sei was calling him back and it was a video call.

"What do you want me to find out?" Sei asked as soon as Yu Chen received the call. It seemed like he wasn't busy at the moment.

"Everything about him." Yu Chen replied and Sei nodded.

"Okay, standby for a while," Sei said and he was about to end the call when someone seemed to have took the tablet from him.

"Do your thing and I'll talk to this guy, Sei." Yu Chen heard Zaki's voice.

The next moment, Zaki's big face appeared on Yu Chen's phone screen.

"Yo, lil bro! What's the matter? I heard you're in Europe right now. It's three in the morning there right? And yet, here you are, calling. Is there some trouble?" Zaki didn't waste a moment to ask as he sat.

Yu Chen didn't answer and just looked away, causing Zaki to raise a brow. His forlorn and gloomy expression didn't escape his notice.

"What's wrong? Why do you look like you were dumped? Did you and little sis-in-law fight?" he asked, his voice taunting him.

". . ."

But then, Yu Chen remained quiet. He didn't even glance at him.

"Ah, could it be that… you're jealous? Was this Yun Jinhan guy you want Sei to investigate the source of your melancholy?" Zaki didn't let Yu Chen get away and this time, he definitely hit bullseye.

Yu Chen's face turned a few shades darker as he glared at Zaki, causing the guy to heave a long sigh. "Tell me what happened. I might be able to give you advice with your problem. I'm your older brother after all." He coaxed him, now trying to make him speak.

However, as expected, Yu Chen was a tough nut to crack.

"C'mon, you shouldn't keep everything inside. Or else you'll burst out. What did little sis do?" Zaki was already thinking that this was just a misunderstanding because he honestly doubted that Xiaolei would even look at another man. Zaki had seen her loyalty while Yu Chen was unconscious so he couldn't believe that Xiaolei will do anything inappropriate. Zaki at least knew that Xiaolei wasn't that type of a woman.

But then, Yu Chen just looked away again. Zaki already knew that this man won't talk so he already sent Juu a message.

[What happened between Chen and Xiaolei? Tell me at once so I could help your boss. He might burst out soon at this rate if we don't do something.]

Zaki always knew what Juu's weakness was and he was more than certain that the man would give in if Zaki sent him a message like this.

As expected, a reply quickly came. [Miss was drunk. Chen saw her being supported by that man out of the hotel.]

Upon reading Juu's report, Zaki heaved another sigh.

"So little sis did do something. I'm surprised, lil sis is usually vigilant…" Zaki started when Yu Chen suddenly spoke.

"I know it's not her fault but…"

"But?"

Yu Chen fell quiet again as his aura blazed, causing Zaki to crease his brows.

"Hey, why do I feel like this was more than just simple jealousy? Do you have some grudge against this Yun Jinhan?"

Yu Chen still didn't say a word back.

"Well, this is partly little-sis' fault actually. You should tell her not to drink outside especially when she's with untrustworthy people. I know this is inevitable sometimes in her line of work but she always has the choice to refuse. She's your wife now Chen, sometimes, you should teach her a lesson. Maybe, a little scolding?"

Yu Chen snapped at him. The words 'there's no way I could scold my wife' were flashing in his eyes.

Sigh… this guy…

"Okay, okay. I don't think you could even scold her, so how about a little punishment for her?" Zaki suggested again but as expected, Yu Chen's reaction was even wilder.

"Haha, don't look at me like that okay? I am talking about another type of punishment. I know you will never hurt even a little strand of her hair okay?" Zaki explained almost frantically.

Gladly, what he said somehow made Yu Chen calm down.

"Another type of punishment?" Yu Chen echoed, curiosity was now evident in his eyes, causing Zaki to smile inwardly.

Zaki then moved closer to the phone after glancing at Sei and he started to speak a little softly.

"Okay, listen to me Chen. The trick is not to hurt her, okay? What you want to do is to excite her. The point is you should make her see how much she wants you and how willing she is to behave for you. Do you understand what I mean?"

"That's right. And you'll do that by exciting her."

"That's… punishment?"

"Yes. Since we can't possibly hurt our wives, we can punish them through pleasure. Girls can hide their passion for sex or physical closeness, you know. If you can unmask her desires for you, I think that's the best romantic punishment." He whispered and Yu Chen blinked. "Do you want to know how to punish her with pleasure?"

Before Yu Chen could answer, someone pulled Zaki's collar from behind.

"Zaki, what nonsense you're telling him again?" Yu Chen heard Sei's voice.

"Geezz Sei, this is not nonsense okay? You should be grateful that your wife is always inside a lab surrounded by chemicals and laboratory apparatuses! Your wife is surrounded by safe, non-living things but our wives are surrounded by flies and other filthy living organisms because of their line of work, you know?! So we have to work extra hard compared to you!! You don't understand our frustration!!!" Zaki fumed and then, the call ended.

Yu Chen was left on the sofa speechless. He was still staring at his phone when it vibrated again. This time, it was a mail from Zaki.
