Chapter 415 - The Island

"I already had an inkling, but still, seeing this place reminds me of many things"

Michael mumbled as he looked at the island that's growing larger in his eyes by the second, which is obviously their destination for their MT and the place where they'd stay for a few days, away from civilization.

"Dammit, good thing I brought my large tent, and here I was even dreaming of those beautiful comfy quarters in Mine Tech. Industries" one student said with disappointment and bitter resentment.

"I know right? Our professor was really sly for not saying anything and correcting us when we boarded the ship, and he made us think that we're really having our MT at the company, it's such a dick move!" commented another student, and the other students who heard her couldn't agree more as they nodded their heads at the same time.

"Hahaha!"

"Ha…hahaha!

Hearing the students still grumbling around him, Michael laughed hard, so hard that their professor was laughing beside him like they are best friends!

"Since when did those two became so close?"

"Just now, a couple of minutes ago"

Brandon came walking over to the students he knew with a snack on his hands.

The students who were talking behind Michael and their professor's back turned towards Brandon who walked beside them, and one of them said, "Tsk, Michael must have known we were not going to Mine Tech. Industries because he wasn't even that excited like us when we assumed we were going, and he didn't even bother to tell us. Both he and the professor are sly evil bastards!"

Brandon rolled his eyes at them and said, "You two must be dreaming. Even if he knew, he wouldn't bother telling us, not even to the girls"

One of them snorted and replied saying, "You make it sound you have known him for a long time that you even know what's going on inside his head, when you've just started sticking to him in the past few days"

"Oh~ shut up! You're just jealous that I'm hanging out with him and the girls" Brandon said with a smug look on his face while chewing on the snacks inside his mouth.

The two friends looked at each other, then they laughed as the guy on the left with red hair said, "Ohh, we're not jealous of you man. You might not have noticed it before, but you stuck out like a sore thumb whenever you're with them"

Brandon looked at them, then the edge of his lips slowly rose up to snicker before walking away to join the girls who are still optimistic about their MT even though they got tricked.

The two students looked at that smug look on Brandon's face, and they couldn't help but have the urge to smack his face for being arrogant in front of them when he doesn't even have the face and qualities to hang out with the popular students.

"Dude thinks he's one of the cool kids now" snorted one of them.

And the other student replied with, "Exactly, he still damn ugly"

Meanwhile, the large yacht they were on was almost nearing the docks on the island.

So their professor, Mr. Santos quickly gathered the students and announced the start of their MT that would last for a few days.

"Alright! I just want to apologize to all of you for making you think that we're actually heading to the company when in fact, we're not" Mr. Santos apologized, but it sounded so insincere because of that annoying smile on his face that looked like he was making fun of them.

The students started murmuring among them, and the students nearest to him are even blatantly cursing him, but he just ignored it as he could also understand their frustrations as he knows that he would also be acting like them if his professors had tricked him back in the day.

So he just smiled and continued, "But let's forget that for the time being and let me tell you guys what's going to happen before this ship docks on the island, alright?"

"Alright! All of you listen to me! This year's concept for our MT is outdoor survival and group training!"

Then he stopped talking as he looked at the students one by one, who happens to be also staring at him.

Because even though some of them are troublesome students, they can also be quite obedient sometimes, especially if it's something that can slightly put their lives in danger.

"Do you see that island behind me? Well, we might not have been able to visit the company's headquarters, but they had generously lent us one of their islands!" Mr. Santos said with a shout that couldn't hide the excitement behind his voice.

"So what if they lent us an island? We'll still have to suffer later!"

"I heard from the seniors that the MT last year was really hard, I hope they go easy on us this time!"

"Tsk, I told you before this, it will be the same as the previous MTs, but it's a good thing that it's happening on an island, right? After all, we're really far from civilization, right?" said one student, but he was met with silence from his friends who just shook their heads because a few of them had already heard of what happened on the MTs during the previous years.

Looking at the uncomfortable looks on the faces of the students, Mr. Santos smirked before he burst into a fit of laughter!

"Relax students, I know that all of you must have already heard of the concept that happened on the previous MTs, but I assure you, this time around, it would be a little more relaxing!"

"But let me explain it in more detail on the way to our campground, okay?" said Mr. Santos with a smile on his face, which just made his students hate him more!

The large yacht slowly docked on the island, followed by the group of students who slowly disembarked from the ship following their professor.
