Chapter 414 - Tricked!

"Woohoo! We're almost here!"

The students were really excited, some of them had already posted stories and moments on their social media accounts, a few of them were even livestreaming what was happening to brag about this joyous occasion that was about to unfold.

Such excitement at the thought of just visiting a company, really baffles Michael, as he couldn't help but not understand what makes them so excited that they are acting like they are meeting their long lost lovers who they had never seen for years!

"Hello everyone, look! The Headquarters of Mine Tech. Industries is almost upon us! I didn't expect that our Professor is so capable that he's able to get permission from the company to open its door to us!" said Maine with an excited voice as she keeps talking in front of her camera, more specifically to her audience watching her livestream.

Lisa and Brandon also joined in on the fun of her live streaming as they kept talking about the company and their experience playing Fate Online or what they are currently doing inside the game.

"And before I forget, I want to introduce you guys to one of our campus hunks, Michael!"

Maine suddenly ran beside Michael and hooked her arm around his as she introduced him to her fans, and the latter just slowly closed his eyes as he tried to calm his emotions as he had almost slapped her face when she suddenly came at him like a gust of wind!

'This woman…She's so quick on her feet that I almost hit her out of instinct'

He could only smile bitterly inside, but outside, he just smiled and looked towards the camera with this cool look on his face, and with a slight nod of his head, he said, "Hey"

Reading the comments flooding the screen, the edge of Michael's lips couldn't help but slightly twitch, especially when he saw a few comments insulting his good looks!

Michael clicked his tongue as he glared towards the camera, before looking away a second later.

When the people watching the livestream saw what Michael did, a lot of them quickly started to clamor, while the rest were just amused and enjoying the chaos that ensued, while a few women among them were instead fanboying him like he was kind of a celebrity!

Watching the chaos that ensued on her livestream, Maine could only chuckled bitterly and thought to herself, 'They've become even noisier than normal, I already expected that Mike would certainly be popular, especially among the girls, but I just didn't expect that he would show such disdainful expression in front of the livestream, and now it has become rowdy'

Maine glanced at Michael from the corner of her eyes and just sighed, while those classmates of hers that were watching her livestream were also amused by what was happening on the chat room.

Michael just ignored everything around him and suddenly started looking around with his back leaning against the rails, then his eyes suddenly stopped on a certain someone who was by himself in one corner and wearing this mysterious smile on his face while talking to someone on his phone in hushed tones.

It was Michael's VR course's professor, Mr. Santos.

Seemingly feeling that someone is staring at him, Mr. Santos suddenly turned his head around and looked around him, before his eyes met Michael who was staring intently at him.

Mr. Santos smiled at him with a slight nod before walking away.

Michael already felt that there was something wrong with the arrangement earlier, and seeing how their professor is acting so mysterious, and looking at the couple of bodyguards dressed in plain clothes disguised as boat hands.

He's now sure that the students are just being baited into thinking that this MT would be a very relaxing tour around a prestigious company.

'They're certainly gonna be disappointed and angered after'

Then his eyes flashed with a cold glint as the edge of Michael's lips slowly rose up to form a cold grin.

'I just hope the professor is not one of those bad guys thinking of kidnapping us, the students'

Then he looked around as he watched the students moving to and fro around the ship.

'Hmm, but something like that happening is not low. After all, a lot of these students are from rich families, and their ransom will certainly be a hefty sum if they are kidnapped'

Only a couple of minutes had passed since they boarded the ship and a lot had already happened during those few minutes on the ship.

And now, the silhouette of the towering structure of the Headquarters of the company that they are so excited about had finally become clearer as they would arrive there…soon.

"Everyone, we're almost there!"

One of the students yelled excitedly, and the others followed suit in excitement that never died down ever since.

Michael just watched them with a shake of his head.

And just when the ship was nearing the docks on the island, it suddenly but slowly made a slight turn as it started to sail along the coast of the island, and the sudden change caught everyone off guard that they just stood there like statues as their eyes were glued stuck on the dock that's getting farther away by the second.

"W-what?! No! Why is the ship sailing away?!"

"Yooo~! What the f*ck?!"

"I think we got clickbaited! F*ck! Where is Professor Santos?! He's so sly!"

"Find him! How dare he trick us?!"

The students quickly realized what had just happened and started causing a ruckus, and a few of them even started running around, trying to find their Professor who had mysteriously disappeared!

Michael watched the students with an amused expression on his face, especially towards Brandon and the girls who wore indignant expressions on their faces.

They even asked Michael to look for the professor with them, but he kindly rejected them with a laugh, which made them even more annoyed as the girls glared at him, before they angrily walked away with Brandon in tow, like a chick following his mother hen.

'Tsk, tsk, I knew that it would turn out like this. Having too much expectation really isn't good for the heart and mind'

"Hahahaha!"

Michael suddenly started laughing out loud, and his laugh quickly attracted the glares of the other students, but the former just ignored those eyes filled with anger and hostility as he just continued laughing.

Why?

Because he can't help it!

Seeing these classmates of his suddenly falling from heaven to the humble ground was very hilarious in his eyes!
