Chapter 370 - Are You Kidding Me Right Now?

Vroom!

Michael just directly drove inside and parked the car beside the garage, and stepped down from the vehicle.

"Hmm, it's surprisingly quiet" said Michael the moment he realized that the surroundings were surprisingly quiet, because by now, he would have at least been hearing music coming from the mansion.

"There's nothing weird though, I can still feel the people watching this place"

After a short observation around him, Michael walked towards the front door with light steps.

Woof! Woof! Woof!

Michael had just walked halfway towards the front door when he suddenly heard a dog barking coming from the side of the house, and it's getting near just from the sound of it!

'A dog?'

Then a four legged creature made an appearance from the corner and dashed towards Michael while barking angrily.

Woof! Woof! Woof!

It was a dog, and it stopped just two meters away from Michael as it barked at him restlessly, trying to chase him away from its territory.

"Uhmm...this..I thought it was a large dog because of how powerful its bark is, but...why is it a Miniature Schnauzer!?"

Michael just stood there, and not perturbed at all at the barking dog. He was just confused and shocked about why such a small dog has such powerful bark like those large dogs!

"Wait, why is there a f*cking dog here, and it's not even leashed!?"

He just raised an eyebrow as he wasn't really scared of dogs, much less a small dog. So Michael just ignored it and continued walking over to the front door with the sound of a restlessly barking dog behind him.

Ding dong!

The sound of the doorbell rang through the house along with the dog who had finally stopped barking when it realized that the intruder seemed to be unfazed by its frenzied bark, so it just whimpered with its tails between its legs as it watched Michael.

"Did they really adopt a dog? And why is no one coming out yet? The A.I inside their capsules must have already informed that there's someone at the door"

Ding dong!

So Michael once again pressed the doorbell, and leaned on the wall beside the door soon after as he waited.

A minute later.

"What the hell? These bastards are clearly ignoring that there's a guest at the door!"

Meanwhile, inside the game.

"Someone is at the door. Someone log off and go check it out" Black Genesis sent a message at the guild chat.

"I'm busy"

"I'm doing something important"

"I'm currently inside a dungeon, can't do it"

Soon after, Chakram, Black Sparrow, Storm Moonlight followed up with a reply of their own.

"It's probably Michael who dropped by here from Olivia's place, and I'm busy killing some undead. Tony, you go do it" Viper soon after replied.

"F*ck off! I'm busy right now! You go open the door for him, you damn snake!" Tony angrily replied.

"..."

And the whole bunch are just speechless after a few seconds before another message comes from Black Sparrow.

"So, you guys are leaving him there? Don't forget about the dog you guys had picked up from the road. I don't know what will happen if those two meet. That damn dog has quite the temper from having such a small body"

"Goddammit! Michael, if you hurt my dog. I will kill you!"

[Your friend [Black Genesis] had logged off]

"What was that about?"

"Uggh, you know already. That jerk is a dog lover"

"I'm more of a cat lover"

"Circle is talking nonsense again. Who doesn't know that most animals are afraid of you. I can still remember that day when we met a wolf pack when we were on a job in the mountains. They were so ferocious at first, before they turned into meek lambs when they saw you coming up from behind us and ran away in fear! Hahaha!"

"Ohhh, I remember that. It was such a sight to see!

"..."

Ding dong!

"Little brat! What do you want!? I'll kill you if you hurt my dog!"

Genesis raced down the stairs while yelling angrily towards Michael who's at the door.

But when he angrily opened the door, his feet came into a sudden halt when he saw his small supposedly ferocious dog, wagging its tail while getting its head rubbed by Michael.

"Ohh, is this your dog or your neighbors?"

Michael turned around and saw Genesis, then he stood up and picked up the Miniature Schnauzer in his arms while facing the latter, but deep inside he was sure that this dog must be Genesis as he knew that the man likes dogs a lot.

He even once exterminated an entire upper echelons of a mafia for killing his dog just when he had retired a few years ago, and it was just because he didn't sell his limited edition car to a damn spoiled brat!

And they killed his dog for it, which was family!

"It's my dog, and its name is Oreo"

Genesis glared at Michael as he walked towards him and gently snatched the dog from his hands.

"Does it have a sibling called Milk?" Michael quickly followed with a retort when he heard the name of the dog, along with a smirk on his face.

"What~?"

"Nothing, anyway, Is Circle inside?"

Michael quickly changed the subject as he doesn't have that much free time for useless chit chat right now when he had already wasted ten minutes here.

"Did he hurt you? Tell Dad if he hurt you, and I'll punish this bastard"

But his question fell into deaf ears as Genesis just ignored him and started talking to his dog like it was a human baby, which made Michael's face twitch.

'Just why do people talk to their dogs like this? Uggh!'

"Ar...Genesis! I said, is Circle inside?"

Michael almost called him out with his real name, but he quickly changed it because he realized that he shouldn't know what Genesis' real name is currently, and he had almost slipped up which made his back cold as that would have been trouble right there!

"He's busy with the game, what do you want?" asked Genesis with an impatient look.

"Tell him that I want to buy a couple of his dynamites in the game, and he needs to send it through premium mail. I'll send the payment to his account" said Michael.

"Couldn't you have just told him about this when you were in the game?" Genesis couldn't understand why Michael went to the trouble of coming here when he could have just told Circle what he wanted in the game.

"Cause maybe I just remembered about it and decided to stop on the way to university?"

"Okay, I'll tell him about it when I get back, and why are you heading to Central University?" said Genesis.

"I'm gonna start attending classes there from today onwards" answered Michael with a bitter smile on his face.

"You? You're gonna study for Uni? Are you kidding me right now?"

Genesis couldn't believe what he's hearing right now, and at the same time, he utterly found his situation utterly ridiculous.

"Yeah, yeah, Anyway, I gotta go. Tell him, okay? I need it, thanks!"

After saying those words, Michael quickly ran back to his car and drove away.

Genesis watched as Michael drove away and mumbled, "Going to school huh? Seems fun"

"Let's go, Oreo! Are you hungry? Then let me prepare some food for you"
