Chapter 215: May I have the honor to escort you?

Actually, there was another purpose behind Jing Lihua attending this party. From her memory, in her last life, Jing Tian had used the 'Gu' family influence to cause trouble for Jing Lihua and get closer to Su Liwei. At a distance, a fancy sports car was parked in shadows. Rythymatic sounds of someone snoring resonated inside the silent interior.

At the driver seat, a middle-aged man was impatiently tapping his fingers over the steering wheel. At times, he would glance up at the rearview mirror to see a dashing man sprawled over the back seats sleeping as if there was no worry in the world. He sighed, helpless.

'When I agreed to be your Manager there wasn't any such clause in the contract to be your accomplice in your such sneaky activities.' However, he could only complain in his heart.

Just at that instant, his eyes shifted as he noticed a white figure passing across them. His brows knitted momentarily before he recognized her. "Zhou Liqin, wake up!"

"Huh, what?" Zhou Liqin lifted up his head, still a little dazed from his sleep. 

"She has arrived."

"Ah Ming, why you wake me up. You know last night I had to drink with those dealers. After that, the next morning, without getting a minute of sleep I had to go straight for a shoot." Zhou Liqin whined. "Let me sleep some more," he yawned getting back into a comfortable position and fell asleep in an instant. Resonate snores followed.

Du Ming: "..."

"Zhou Liqin, if you do not want your girlfriend to dump you, you better wake up now."

Hearing his girlfriend being mentioned, Zhou Liqin erected faster than a lightning bolt. "I'm up."

Before Du Ming could finish his words, he heard the car door being shut loudly. The words still left unsaid, he could only close his mouth.

Zhou Liqin quickly made his way towards the entrance. He hurriedly ran a hand through his silky hair and got them into a presentable state. Getting nearer to the pericycle of the reporters, he slowed down and straightened his dress. 

From a casual looking guy-next-door he completely changes his demeanor to that of a high-class son of noble birth. Being satisfied with his appearance, he smiled to himself. "Perfect!" With eyes sparkling he made his way to the red carpet.

Jing Lihua didn't notice anyone approaching. It was only when she heard squeals and gasps from the groups of females at the entrance did she notice something was different. She paused in her steps and glanced in a particular direction.

"Oh my God, is it really Zhou Liqin? Someone confirm it for me! I can't believe it!"

"It is really... Him!"

"Wait what is he doing here? Don't tell me he is here to attend the Second Master Gu engagement party!"

"I mean I heard that the first master Gu has been the fast friends with Zhou Liqin. I had heard rumors that he had extended an invitation to Zhou Liqing. But Zhou Liqin had never appeared at such events in the past so I didn't mind those rumors!"

"Why hadn't you told me before? My JieJie had been a fan of him since we were little. She would have killed to have seen him in person!"

"Should I go and ask for an autograph? I can't imagine how jealous my friends would be once I told them I met Zhou Liqin in person!"

The reporters surrounding them have already recognized the great superstar Zhou Liqing. The second Zhou Liqin had appeared, the reporters had already positioned themselves. Flashes of camera engulfed the place in an instant. 

It was rare for Zhou Liqin to come out. And to have seen him out in public was a golden opportunity for many of them. They spared no effort and captured his pictures from all the angles. Zhou Liqin was naturally photogenic. No matter which angle, every picture of his came out to be extremely charming.

The group of women trembled in excitement as their idol made his way to them. All of them nudged each other to encourage and go ask for an autograph...and maybe a selfie. But none of them had the confidence to actually make the first move and ask for that favor.

Each of them wanted the other one to move forward and make the first move. So that in case that anything goes wrong, they won't be embarrassed. Although Zhou Liqin was known for being polite to his fans, he was after all a superstar!

However, as Zhou Liqin approached closer to the entrance, he slowed down. 

At first, no one could understand. It was only when Zhou Liqin stood by Jing Lihua's side and flashed her his oh-so-dreamy smile while extending his arm that people understood.

Following his words, all the female fans felt as if their ears exploded.
