Chapter 93 Meeting with Chen Qian

Chen Qian was knitting a scarf in the dark night. Christmas was coming and she was about to give this hand-made scarf to Li Yunhong as a gift.

Chen Qian knew how to play up to Li Yunhong, “I never knit a scarf by myself. She will definitely be moved.”

Thinking of this, she made more efforts on it.

Chen Qian knew that Mo Yichen called her father that day. And she could tell from her father’s expression that they had a bad conversation.

Chen Qian was stressed out. She had to find a new solution.

“It’s three o’ clock in the morning.” Chen Qian was tired. She rubbed her eyes.

“Ouch!” Chen Qian pierced her finger with the needle accidentally, which caused bleeding.

She instantly sobered up. Her mind was full of anger at this time. She even wanted to throw the scarf into the garbage can.

“Why do I bother? I could buy her a scarf since no one could tell a difference.”

An idea suddenly came to her mind when she saw the blood on the scarf.

“I need more blood on the scarf.” She grinned slyly.

Chen Qian got up with her sleepy eyes. Her dark circles became more obvious because of sleep insufficiency.

She was satisfied about her tiredness and then took the scarf to Mo’s family.

Mo Yichen was dealing with the contract issue of Chen Kaiming. Although the agreement was reinstated, many details were in need to be changed so that Chen’s family would be more restrained by the contract.

Looking at the revised contract, Wu Gang twisted his mouth, “Boss, you are dealing with this too hard. But I bet Chen Kaiming dares not say anything.”

“Only in this way can Chen Qian stop troubling Gu Yan.” Mo Yichen thought to himself.

“Boss, I think you should talk to Chen Qian face to face. Otherwise, she will complain to Mrs. Li. Then Ms. Gu would be the one who suffers losses.”

Wu Gang knew that Mo Yichen’s plan couldn’t solve the problem fundamentally, so he suggested Mo Yichen carefully.

It was an ordinary scarf which had rough stitches, which was even unfinished.

“That’s quite a nice gift. You are so sweet.” Li Yunhong was surprised as she looked at the scarf.

She touched it slowly and saw the blood on the scarf.

“What…”

Chen Qian chuckled to herself but pretended that she had no idea about it.

“Oh, I am really sorry. I’m such a fool. How could I get the scarf dirty accidently?”

Li Yunhong was satisfied as expected. She held Chen Qian’s hands distressfully.

“Oh dear, you don’t have to do that. Buying me one would be good enough.”

“Auntie, it’s not a big deal. As long as you like it, I’m honored to do this for you. But it’s a pity that the scarf is useless.”

Chen Qian held Li Yunhong’s hands instead and chuckled to herself.

“How could it be? This is the best Christmas gift I’ve got. I will show it off before Yichen.”

Chen Qian smiled bashfully.

Mo Yichen went back home very late. He saw his mother sitting on the sofa as he entered. She was tidying something.

“Mom, what are you doing?” He saw a rough scarf.

Li Yunhong fondled the scarf admiringly. She seemed elated.

“This is a handmade scarf from Qianqian. It took her a long time to make it. She came here specially to give me this as a Christmas gift.”

Mo Yichen stopped when he heard it.

“Did she come here today?”

“Yes. Qianqian never had done this before. See the blood on the scarf? She even got herself hurt accidently. I think she is really nice. What do you think?”

Li Yunhong looked at the reaction on his face tentatively.

“My mother is too easy to be played up. Guess I should consider about Wu Gang’s suggestion.”

“Yeah, very nice. I have to talk with her sometime.”

Li Yunhong didn’t notice his intention.

“That’s great. I told you before. A good girl like Qianqian would definitely change your mind one day. You have to try to accept her even if you don’t like her.”

Li Yunhong muttered. She was happy to see Mo Yichen’s reaction.

Seeing his mother’s back, Mo Yichen got a plan, “Fortunately I detect this early, or it would be an endless flow of disastrous aftermath.”

Thinking of this, he picked up the phone from the pocket and called Chen Qian in the balcony.

“Shall we have lunch tomorrow? I have something to tell you.” The familiar and nice voice of Mo Yichen sounded in the phone.

Chen Qian felt very excited about it.

“Of course. We haven’t eaten together for a long time.”

“OK. I will pick you up at your company tomorrow.”

Then they hang up on each other.

Chen Qian looked at the call record and was a little bit unwilling to believe it. “Mo Yichen invited me to have lunch. He really did call me.”
