Manla left her major client alone directly. Since Gu Yan had the tendency of committing suicide, Manla had to see her immediately.

“Gu Yan, don’t scare me. I’ll be there with you soon!” Manla stamped down on the accelerator.

The urgent knock on the door startled Gu Yan who had just laid down. Then she went to open the door tiredly.

“Who’s there?”

“I knocked for a while. Why don’t you open the door earlier? Hey! Let me in!” Gu Yan opened the door and then fell on Manla. Manla had to drag her into the living room.

“What happened to you? Hey! Why did you drink so much? Who’s the one to blame? Tell me.” Manla asked Gu Yan.

“I am a bitch, aren’t I? Manla, they all said that I’m unchaste!” Gu Yan burst into tears.

“That’s not true! You are drunk! Well, forget the unhappy events in the past! Okay?” Manla tried to comfort Gu Yan.

“Let me join you. I’d probably lose my job today anyway!” Manla also took a beer and started to drink.

“I don’t care about it anymore! I quit!” It seemed that Manla was also drunk.

In the morning, Manla woke up first, then she found Gu Yan was lying on the sofa beside her. Manla looked around and tried to remember what happened last night.

She patted her head and looked at her watch instinctively. It was almost nine o’clock! Manla put on her coat to run outside. At this time, Gu Yan woke up.

“Manla, where are you going?”

“I’m going to work now. I will come back to accompany you.”

“Didn’t you say that you would not go to work today?” Manla became sober, and then went to the sofa.

“Yeah! I’m fired for preventing you from suicide in time. I lose my career now!” Manla pretended to be helpless.

“How could I commit suicide? It’s ridiculous!” Gu Yan denied.

Suddenly, the phone rang.

“Manla, you are expecting on the phone!”

“Hello? Who’s there?”

“It’s your boss!”

Manla was stunned at once. She thought it was a harassing call.

“Hey! President Wang, it’s Manla!”

“What time is it? Don’t you want to work?”

“But I thought last night…”

“That’s his problem, and the customer said that you are lovely, so he felt that our company was reliable. Anyway, he signed the contract with us, which means you have fixed our loss! You are responsible for the interview with him next week!”

“Any questions?”

“Now get back to your position before 9:30, or your bonus this month would be deducted!”

Manla was stunned after the call.

“Beep!” Gu Yan’s phone rang.

“Ms. Gu Yan, you scared me. I didn’t see you in the studio. I thought you are missing again!” Yuan Xi said.

“Oh! I got up a little late today. I’ll be there soon!” Gu Yan was shocked to hear Yuan Xi’s words. She thought something bad might have happened.

Yuan Xi thought Gu Yan was occupied with something else.

“You’d better be quick. Here…” Yuan Xi said in a nervous tone suddenly. Gu Yan was alerted.

“What’s going on?”

“You will know when you come!”

“Tell me now! Let me know what happened. Hey, I am anxious!” Gu Yan walked faster.

Gu Yan figured out something as she saw a Maserati sports car outside the studio. As she went into the second floor, her assumptions were proved to be right.

Seeing Gu Yan coming, Yuan Xi went forward to explain the situation to her.

“President Mo is here. He wants to negotiate with you about the design plan, saying that you need to participate in it.”

“Well, I get it, you can go.” Gu Yan enjoined Yuan Xi to dispatch the staff in the second floor, then she entered the office slowly.

A man who wore a suit looked tall, straight, and charming. He stood beside the window, exuding unique charm. Gu Yan dreamed of having this kind of boyfriend like other girls, but she could not fall in love with him.

“President Mo, how have you been? What brings you here in this small studio? Why don’t you send your assistant?” Gu Yan was indicating something.

“I’m here to see you!”

“Thanks for your friends’ support. I’m good!”

“That’s good to hear! You haven’t been busy lately, have you?”

“As long as your friends don’t try to please you so eagerly, I’m not so busy!”

“Are you available tonight? I…” Gu Yan interrupted him before he finished!

“Sorry! President Mo, I have to work overtime tonight!”

“Because you’re gonna have dinner with me tonight!” Mo Yichen smoothed her disheveled hair on the forehead.
