Chapter 116 Find out the truth

“Hey! Is it Yunfeng? I haven’t seen you for a long time. Oh! This is Gu Yan! You couple haven’t come to my restaurant for ages. If you don’t show up, my restaurant will go out of business.” The restaurant owner recognized Wen Yunfeng and Gu Yan, but it was a bit embarrassing because he didn’t know the relationship between them now.

“We are here now!” Wen Yunfeng also told the owner to make the dishes based on their previous taste.

“Okay, I get it.”

“Let’s sit down.” Wen Yunfeng held Gu Yan’s hands and went to a table in the corner. He looked at Gu Yan happily, while Gu Yan looked away.

“I want to ask you something. Once I finished, it won’t be necessary for us to contact with each other anymore!” Gu Yan said straightforward.

Obviously, Wen Yunfeng knew that Gu Yan was still unable to forgive him for what he did to her in the past. He just felt that he should give each other a chance to make up their relationship, so he didn’t pay much attention to what she said.

“I know that you haven’t forgiven me yet, but I’m willing to change for you from now on. Believe me, Gu Yan.”

“Listen to me! I don’t want to talk about our relationship for the time being. I want to ask you what happened the day before yesterday.” Gu Yan asked directly, regarding the dinner as an opportunity to learn the truth.

“Which day? Oh! I received a message sent by a person anonymously. I learned that you were kidnapped in that hotel, so I went there.” Wen Yunfeng acted unnaturally. Since Gu Yan had been his wife for years, it was uneasy for him to trick her.

“You mean someone informed you anonymously?” Gu Yan looked at Wen Yunfeng with suspicion, while Wen Yunfeng looked away.

Otherwise, the consequences would be unbearable for you to bear.” Wen Yunfeng was even more nervous at this time. He didn’t know who let out this information that made Gu Yan doubt him. He wanted to find him out!

“You never check the messages on your phone. Since when you started to read the messages? Don’t you generally chat with girls on WeChat?” Gu Yan was disdainful with a doubtful expression. She probably guessed most of the truth, or knew at least part of it.

“I hardly use WeChat without you. Because I have a feeling that WeChat was the trigger that ruined our relationship, so I stopped using WeChat. Now I know about the work through messages only.”

“Wen Yunfeng, you’d better tell me the truth! Since I ask you this way, I have known something.”

“Why don’t you believe me? You are fascinated with Mo Yichen, aren’t you?” Wen Yunfeng was angry with Gu Yan. Since the harmonious atmosphere was broken, Wen Yunfeng felt a little embarrassed.

Wen Yunfeng and Gu Yan had a heated argument. People around them looked at them in amazement, which was really awkward.

Gu Yan began to eat. She knew Wen Yunfeng too well. So, what he said was basically wrong. Gu Yan didn’t want him to be awkward for the time being.

Maybe this was a farewell dinner.

After Gu Yan finished eating, she said goodbye to the restaurant owner, and then left. But Wen Yunfeng stopped her!

“What do you want? Wen Yunfeng! We are not a couple anymore! Please be self-possessed!”

“What I want to say is that we can get together again. I really hope you can give me an opportunity…”

“As I said, Mr. Wen Yunfeng, please be self-possessed!” Gu Yan wanted to free her hands, but he held them tightly.

“You want me to be self-possessed? Gu Yan, do you think you are better than me?”

Wen Yunfeng stood there alone. He probably had never thought that his obedient ex-wife would slap him. Wen Yunfeng had not responded yet.

“Gu Yan, Gu Yan! Oops!” When Wen Yunfeng was going to run after Gu Yan, he realized that Gu Yan had already left by taxi. Then he covered his face with one hand and drove away.

“You will come back to me! Because you can’t forget the memories.” Wen Yunfeng was still confident about their relationship!

She was getting drunk, “I want to practice my drinking capacity to protect myself from raping by others unexpectedly. But is that all I can bear?”

“Hey! Manla, what are you doing? Are you busy now? Come and chat with me! I am in a bad mood today!” Gu Yan dialed Manla’s number and wished she could accompany her.

“Hey, my best friend! I’m busy now. Why don’t you look for Mo Yichen, that handsome man?” Hearing Gu Yan’s delirious tone, Manla was a little worried.

“Even you don’t want to accompany me. Let me die!” Gu Yan said those drunken words which made Manla really worry about her. Since Gu Yan got too much work stress these days, Manla was afraid that Gu Yan couldn’t bear it.
