Chapter 165: Big Beardy

“Knock… Knock… Knock…”

Upon receiving the news, Locke’s parents’ neighbors immediately rushed to their house and knocked on their door anxiously.

“Big Beardy! Big Beardy! Something huge has happened, open the door!”

Locke, who had just confirmed that there was no ketchup in the house, walked to the door together with his parents.

Big Beardy did not wait for Locke’s reply. He carried his wife and walked towards the garage. After a few steps, he turned around and said to Locke, “Son! “Remember, if someone wants to hurt you, you must return the favor! In this world, all laws and rules are invalid before the Devil! Therefore, those who fight the Devil doesn’t have to abide by them as well! No matter what happens, your father will always stand behind you!”

After saying that, Big Beardy flicked his hair and left in a cool manner.

“Wow! Locke’s father is so cool…”

“That was… A rather interesting lesson…”

“If only my family’s man was this charming…”

A few middle-aged women looked at him with admiration.

Locke’s eyelids were twitching. He was speechless!

Locke shook his head with a bitter smile on his face. Once he was certain that his father had left, Locke finally relaxed.

A wave of loud noises was gradually approaching Locke’s home. It sounded like there were quite a number of people.

“Aunties[1], you should go home and hide!”

The housewives had also taken notice of the angry mob. After telling Locke to take care of himself, they went home and locked their doors tightly.

Locke dug out his phone and dialed Dickens’ number.

“How’s the situation on your side?”

Dickens answered in a steady tone, “It’s all thanks to your arrangements this morning! Our people have already retreated from the restaurant street. They’re all underground now, and not many of us have been affected! We’ve also kept up to date to the situation on the surface! The Trents are truly a crazy bunch! Boss, give us any orders you have. We’re ready!”

The few aunties had already explained the situation to Locke. Since the mob had chosen to stand on the side of the Devil, Locke would show them no mercy!

“Listen up! Mobilize all your men! If anyone stands in your way, show them no mercy!”

As they were all residents of the Holy City’s underground, Locke so little reason to explain what they needed to do in detail. Dickens responded cheerfully, “Don’t worry, boss! Leave it to us! We’ll be the heroes this time round!”

A burst of cheers rang out from behind him!

Locke had a smile on his face. After hanging up on the phone, Locke summoned Gale Wings and made a visit to the nearest mob group to him.

“Quick! That house looks pretty well-off, there should be ketchup in there!”

“Shut up! If you want to live, tell us the location of Locke’s house!” The leader of the mob group shouted at the official’s face.

“You thugs! You’ve fallen for the Trent family’s tricks! There’s poison in the ketchup! Don’t eat it anymore!”

“Damn it… !” A Guy whose face had been twisted by the addiction snapped.

He took out the pistol that he had snatched from a police officer and pointed it at the judicial officer. “Tell me the location of Locke’s house! I know it’s nearby!”

However, this judicial officer had a strong sense of justice. He would never become an accomplice to a criminal!

He refused to cooperate, in spite of the gun pointed at him. Instead, he closed his eyes and waited for his final moment to arrive.

“Then you can go to hell!” The mobster pulled the trigger without hesitation.

Bang!

Just when the bullet was less than half a meter away from the official.

A figure fell from the sky!

He had intercepted the bullet!

While inspecting the bullet in his hand, Locke commented, “You guys are really something else. Those nobles bullied you so much in the past, but I’ve never seen you guys robbing their homes…”

“It’s Locke!”

“It’s him!”

Everyone subconsciously took a few steps back.

However, they were still surrounding Locke.

“Locke! Hurry up and leave! Principal Hobrick told me that many of the students have consumed the ketchup and their mana has been sealed. Just forget about me and leave!” The judicial officer shouted.

The moment the mobsters heard this, a wave of relief washed over their faces.

“Don’t be afraid of him!”

“Right! His Battle Beast will disappear soon!”

Under the instigation of the two mobsters, everyone else gradually approached Locke.

Locke looked at the judicial officer who had been beaten black and blue. In a flash, Lil’ White appeared on Locke’s shoulder. It then used Spatial Movement to transport the official to safety.

“Kill him!” It was still the same mobster from before. He raised his pistol and aimed at Locke. Unlike his previous shots, however, he fired several shots in quick succession!

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

The others threw the kitchen knives and rocks at Locke.

Had Locke been an ordinary person, he would most likely have perished.

However, Locke was anything but ordinary. A fiery red shield appeared in the nick of time, and it blocked all the attacks that were targeted at its master.

After putting away the shield, Locke glared coldly at the mobsters and spat, “You guys have a death wish, huh…”

The scene that followed caused the judicial official on the roof to immediately close his eyes.

However, the horrible wails had still reached his ears!
