Watching her sleep this way had triggered a burning desire that took over his body almost instantly. He was now like a reckless adolescent who was going through puberty.

Quickly, Di Fuyi cast a spell, summoning the sheets to cover her up again. Soon enough, there was nothing left to see. Only then did he approach her. “Xijiu, have some soup for you.”

All of a sudden, Gu Xijiu opened her eyes and stared at him! That was when Di Fuyi stopped moving another inch. He could tell from the blurry look in her eyes that she had just woken up and was apparently shocked at their proximity to one another. “What are you doing?” Intuitively, she shoved him aside.

Di Fuyi took a huge step back, and the soup in his hand almost spilled to the ground.

As Gu Xijiu abruptly got up from her slumber, she could finally see the bowl in his hand and slowly put the pieces together. “Oh, you are here to deliver the soup. I thought…” She was still trying to find her words.

The unpleasant encounter with her disciple had certainly scarred her, so she thought that Di Fuyi was going to kiss her as well. Luckily, it was only a push. She would be so embarrassed if she struck him for nothing.

“I can have it.” She sat right up and reached out to him to ask for the soup.

The ache in her head was slightly annoying, so it was definitely helpful to have some soup to sober herself up. “What a sweet gesture,” she thought. In fact, she was moved by his thoughtfulness.

She reached out for the bowl, and their fingers accidentally touched.
