He Changdi shot a quick glance at her before he closed his eyes, hiding the flash of emotion in their depths. The changes in his mood couldnt be detected from his even tone, When have I ever been anything but agreeable?

Chu Lian had been stirring the concoction in the bowl with a spoon. She rolled her eyes when she heard He Changdis reply, When have you ever been agreeable? You get into a temper if I stay for just a moment longer with Sister Hui!

He Sanlang had initially been in a good mood. However, his wifes words immediately made his mood take a turn for the worse.
