Those from Province Wen were risk-takers and hard-workers. They were smart and were good at business. The fact that Big Sister was able to insist on getting a divorce at the time and successfully secured the house and her son clearly demonstrated that she was a very competent individual. She listened to everyone’s advice and immediately made a decision.

“I plan to take my son and move away from Province Wen. This isn’t going to work in a long run. I am better off leaving with my child. I’ll relocate to a more remote place. He will have a hard time finding me anytime soon.” The big sister had been backed into a corner by her ex-husband. She’d rather take her son with her and go somewhere else rather than staying behind.

“What do you think about Hujiang Province?” said Shu Yan after hearing Big Sister’s words. “I know there still an area that is short a franchisee. I can save that for you if you want to go. I don’t need the money right away either. I can pay me back in the future when you start bringing in money.”

“That won’t be necessary. I am going to see that house back home. That way I can just buy one in Hujiang. I’ll just settle down then and move back home after my son has gone off to college.”

That was what she said. But if her son really went to go see his scum dad, Big Sister would probably be so angry that she wouldn’t even be able to eat.

The big sister is a frank and straightforward person and Shu Yan enjoyed helping her out. She arranged for someone to take the big sister back to Province Wen and also asked Feng Zeyu for a man to protect her. Just in case the scum man came by, she would at least not be alone.

This was the first time Shu Yan met the big sister’s son. He was almost a young man at 11 years of age, about 1.5 meters in height, bespectacled. He looked decorous.

“Hi, Aunty Shu Yan. My mom talks about you all the time. I am glad to finally meet you.”

“Aye, I am glad to meet you too.” No wonder the big sister was so proud every time she mentioned her son. He was very mature and calm at his young age and reliable like a man.

Shu Yan had them stayed at her house over at Xiazhuang Village. “I keep this place clean regularly and the bedsheets were changed out just yesterday. Let me know if you need anything else.”

“No, this is great. Thank you so much.” The big sister held Shu Yan’s hand. She was fully prepared that Shu Yan had no idea who she was when she called. She didn’t think that Shu Yan would have remembered a small favor like that from such a long time ago and would help her out like this.

“Big Sister is too polite. This place is just vacant. You can stay for as long as you want. You don’t come to City Nan often. Why don’t you spend some time and look around?” Shu Yan was really appreciative of the big sister.

Back then, Shu Yan had two children and trying to start a clothing store. She didn’t know anything. If it wasn’t for the big sister’s help, she would have made a lot of mistakes and wasted a lot of money before things would get on track.

She was willing to be a good host but the big sister didn’t feel comfortable staying. Partly because she didn’t want to trouble Shu Yan too much, partly because she couldn’t get herself to do that. Her son had no school to go to. Now was not the time to think about relaxing!

Knowing the big sister’s urgency, Shu Yan did waste any time. She told the big sister where she could open up a shop in Hujiang Province and had her go and take a look first. If she didn’t like the location, they can look for another one.

There was a franchisee at that location in Hujiang Province originally. It was the owner’s second franchisee but, owing to some family issues, he wasn’t able to free up enough capital so now there’s a spot left.

The original owner even had the location set and the place had yet to be rented out. Big Sister could just rent it directly. Shu Yan mentioned it to the marketing department and Big Sister was now the franchisee for that district.

Shu Yan was going to go with Big Sister but Big Sister declined and went with her son to Hujiang Province. She gave Shu Yan a call a few days later and said she had already settled down and was now looking for a house to buy. She insisted that Shu Yan brought Feng Zeyu and her children with her to visit once she had her own place.
