“This isn’t my fault, Headmaster. I didn’t want to look at them, either,” the lanky boy at the front of the line said at the brink of tears. “Why don’t you just have Department Head Hermione kill them?”

“They mustn’t be killed,” Hermione said calmly. “When those infected dies, the blood around their wounds will swell and overflow, covering the surrounding area. The virus’s virality will also greatly increase. So, if I kill even one infected, everyone here will be instantly infected.”

“I think we are already infected at this point,” a male professor walking at the right side of the line said. He then pulled up his sleeve and showed the black veins covering his arm. “Many of the bubbles they spit out will burst in the air.
