Chapter 27 - A Load Off His Mind

After posting the photos in his circle of friends, Chen Yu simply pushed away this "human tool" and turned around and left.

"Yu… Brother Yu, where are you going?" The young lady was dumbfounded.

"Home." Chen Yu waved his hand and demonstrated a manly instinct of persuading girls like her to turn over a new leaf by telling her, "Don't work here anymore. It's not a good place."

The young lady: "…" (speechless)

Chen Yu said, "Goodbye."

The young lady stuttered: "… You're not done already, are you?"

Chen Yu replied, "Bullshit! You don't believe that I'll complain about you, do you?"

The young lady: "…" (speechless)

And so, with a young, pretty lady gazing at him with resentment and vengeance in her eyes, Chen Yu entered the elevator and left Foot Both City.

He had barely stepped out of the door when his phone rang.

Chen Yu took a look and saw that the caller was none other than his sister, Chen Siwen.

He answered the call.

"Hello?"

"Chen Yu! Don't you touch those women, you hear me!!"

"It's okay. My brother-in-law says they are very clean and they can show us many fanciful tricks."

"Are you tired of living!" Chen Siwen's voice came through the earpiece like the roar of a tigress. "Get out of there quickly!" she yelled.

"My brother-in-law is still in there…"

"I broke up with him! We've broken up, alright?! You got what you wanted!"

"Broke up? How can you just break up so easily? You women just don't take feelings seriously…"

"Chen Yu, when you get home, I'm going to teach you a lesson."

"Alright. Though it's quite a pity, I wish you a happy breakup."

After saying this, Chen Yu hung up the phone with a relaxed, pleased look on his face. He even began to hum a little tune: "If you're going to marry someone♪, don't just marry anyone…"

After walking in the direction of the cigarette store for a few minutes, he slapped his forehead, suddenly remembering that he'd smashed the glass of the cigarette cabinet earlier. Immediately, he changed course and, taking another path, headed to the hardware store.

At the store, he found the right glass and made his purchase. Then, he returned to the cigarette store.

But when he arrived at the door of the cigarette store, he saw the "Open for Business" sign. Startled, he hurriedly ran into the store and saw that Sister Qi had returned and was seated on the boss's chair behind the counter.

She was smoking leisurely.

"I say… Sister Qi, how come you're back so early today?" Chen Yu asked.

"Where have you been?" Sister Qi gently exhaled a cloud of smoke and said, "Aren't you going to man the store?"

"Oh." Chen Yu reacted exceptionally quickly. He held up the box in his hand and said, "I was unpacking and sorting the cigarettes just now and accidentally broke the cabinet. So, I went out to buy a piece of glass to replace it."

"Well." Sister Qi nodded and said, "I've already cleaned up the broken glass. You can replace it later. I have something to tell you."

Carefully leaning the packing box against the wall, Chen Yu walked up to Sister Qi. Then, rubbing his hands in a slightly awkward manner, he asked, "What is it?"

"Something good."

"About going to school?"

"That's right." Sister Qi revealed a smug smile and said, "Your problem with going to school has been resolved."

"Awesome! Simply fantastic!" Chen Yu excessively flattered her. "Even the mayor probably would've had a hard time handling something like this. Sister Qi, you're really amazing! Here, I really have to hand it to you…"

"Don't bother trying for those useless ones. They're not good middle high schools anyway. No. 7 Middle High?"

"So long as you can take the college entrance examination, even No. 70 Middle High will do."

"But the No. 7 Middle High School has one condition."

"Give them money?"

"Not money. You don't need to worry about money matters." Sister Qi shook her head and said, "The teaching department of No. 7 Middle High said that their students are in the middle of a boot camp. If they randomly add you, it'll affect the efficiency of their examination preparations."

"So, that means they're asking me to leave the school compound?"

"Right. You'll practice at home on your own, and when it's time to take the college entrance examination, you'll report to No. 7 Middle High."

"This is exactly what I freaking wanted!" Chen Yu was both surprised and delighted. "Sister Qi, you're truly divine!" he said. "I really must thank you well."

"How are you going to thank me?"

"How about… I dedicate my entire being to you and marry you?"

Sister Qi: "… Okay. Then I'll take a bath first."

Chen Yu: "???"

"How about we take a bath together? My bathtub is quite big."

"Wait… wait a minute, Sister Qi. This isn't appropriate, right?"

"Didn't you say you would dedicate your entire being to me? What's wrong? You find me too old?" Sister Qi raised her brows and said, "I've heard that most of you young people like to seek the company of older women, no?"

Chen Yu put out the last cigarette in his mouth and took out his phone to check the time.

It was ten-thirty at night.

Getting out of bed, he tiptoed to the door and put his ear against it for a while to listen for movements outside.

His keen sense of hearing allowed him to clearly hear Sister Qi's breathing next door.

"Asleep."

"I can take action now."

Putting on his jacket and wearing a mask, Chen Yu gently pushed open the window. With a deft, agile flip, he jumped down to the ground and ran towards the "Portal" Square.

It was Chen Siwen calling him again.

"Hello?" Chen Yu picked up the call and put the phone by his ear, asking, "Why are you calling so late?"

"I've officially broken up with that person."

"Oh. Congrats, congrats."

"He said we'd trick him, and he was fuming mad. I don't think I can continue to work at the factory anymore."

"Then just quit." Chen Yu grinned widely and said, "Stay at home and catch up on drama every day. Wouldn't that be better than having to go to work?"

"If I don't work, are you going to provide for me?"
