Chapter 96 - We Are Your Family

MinFeng carefully undressed FengJiu.

Due to her sudden outburst, her clothes became soaked with sweat.

MinFeng called a nurse and asked her to bring a hospital dress.

He gently pulled all her clothes and swiftly dressed her up. He grabbed a wet cloth and slowly wiped her body.

FengJiu was still sitting like a marionette, not moving at all.

MinFeng sighed.

After he was done wiping FengJiu's body, MinFeng slowly pulled her to lay down on the bed.

He pressed her head on his chest as he caressed her hair.

He did not say anything, he just continued to touch FengJiu's hair.

A few minutes later, MinFeng fell asleep while still holding FengJiu in his arms.

MinFeng did not know how long he was asleep. When he opened his eyes, he found that FengJiu was not inside the room.

He immediately stood up and went to the bathroom, thinking that FengJiu might be inside.

Unfortunately, it was empty. Not a soul could be found inside.

MinFeng immediately ran to the next room but FengJiu was also not in her Yeye's room. It's as if she just vanished into thin air.

Long Jin, who was sitting on a chair stood up.

"Mr. Lu, is there a problem?"

MinFeng looked at XuanTian. When he found out that the old man was sleeping, he sighed in relief and immediately beckoned Long Jin to follow him outside.

After Long Jin closed the door, MinFeng immediately told him that FengJiu was missing.

MinFeng did not want XuanTian to know about it so he asked Long Jin to notify their subordinates discreetly.

MinFeng went to the command center of the hospital to review the CCTV.

On the screen, he saw FengJiu walking barefooted away from the room.

She was moving in a direction that is on the opposite way to her grandfather's room.

He saw her walking endlessly without care.

MinFeng's heart almost went out of his chest when he saw that FengJiu was going up--- to the rooftop.

Without any delay, he ran towards the elevator.

When he arrived, he saw that there are some patients with their guardians strolling freely. The hospital's rooftop was converted into garden where you can relax while sitting on a bench or on the grass.

MinFeng immediately scanned the surroundings, hoping to find FengJiu.

The hospital was huge so the garden was bigger than the average size. It took him a few minutes to find FengJiu who was sitting on the grass.

She sat there while her eyes was looking at the horizon.

When MinFeng saw her, he felt like he wanted to strangle her. He was angry at her for leaving just like that.

She did not even care that he almost went insane when he woke up and she was not by his side.

She did not even care that she was carrying his child in her stomach, making him anxious.

He wanted to scold her for being an irresponsible mother and wife.

But he couldn't.

Because he knew, her heart was bleeding.

The only thing he could do is to understand her pain.

MinFeng strode forward without saying anything. He bent down and picked her up.

He carried her back to her room and placed her on the bed. Looking at her feet that were full of dirt and small cuts, MinFeng's brows wrinkled.

He called Long Jin, saying that FengJiu had been found.

He immediately called for a nurse and asked for some ointments.

MinFeng slowly wiped her feet and put some ointments on her cuts.

When he was done applying medicine on her wounds,

MinFeng could not endure the silence anymore.

The doctor said that those who shut themselves could still hear, see and feel. It's just that, they do not want to respond to avoid everything.

He stood up and grabbed the knife on the table. The knife was used to cut fruits so it was very sharp.

He sat on the bed and faced FengJiu.

"FengJiu... Did you know? Meeting you... was the greatest moment of my life... When I saw you that night, my heart suddenly started to beat...

When you left, I felt like the world turned gray.. I crazily searched for you for many weeks without sleeping... Without eating...

Did you know how happy I was when I found out that I'm the one you were to marry?

Did you know how hurt I was when you acted indifferently towards me when we met again?

Did you know, when you almost got killed, I almost went insane?

FengJiu... You and Little Bump... Both of you are my life...

MinFeng placed the knife on FengJiu's hand and directed it on his chest.

MinFeng was gambling. He wanted to force FengJiu into waking up.

He knew it was vicious of him to use this method but he couldn't stop now. If FengJiu kept on neglecting everything, Little Bump might suffer.

He closed his eyes and spoke.

"If you really don't have any more will to live, I am willing to accompany both of you... That is how much I love you..."

MinFeng slowly pushed her hands that were holding the knife into his chest and felt the pain on his flesh.

FengJiu felt like she was watching a movie.

Everything that was happening, she was all aware of it.

When MinFeng placed the knife in her hand and started to push it into his chest, she felt like it was her chest that was being pierced by it.

'No.. No!! MinFeng, no!!'

FengJiu tried to move her hands away from him but it wouldn't move.

She tried to shout and say 'No' but her mouth wouldn't open.

'No. MinFeng, don't!! Don't!! I beg you!!'

No matter how much she begged, no matter how much she tried to break free from his grip, her body wouldn't move. It stayed motionless like a robot without emotions.

When she saw his clothes were now dripping with blood, FengJiu willed herself to pull away from his grip.

Slowly, her hands started to shake.

MinFeng noticed it but he stubbornly refused to budge. He continued to press the knife on his chest, not minding the pain he felt.

A few seconds later, he could feel that FengJiu was starting to pull away from his grip. Her dead fish eyes were now starting to clear up.

FengJiu's tears gushed out of her eyes like a broken faucet.

Her voice shook as she whispered.

"No.. *sob* don't.. no... *sob* stop... stop."

The knife fell on the bed.

FengJiu raised her face and stared at MinFeng.

"I'm sorry... I'm sorry..."

She clumsily tried to press her hands on the wound.

Not minding his wound, MinFeng pulled her in his embrace and kissed her torridly.

FengJiu could only open her mouth and welcome his tongue.

She wanted to push him but she was afraid that his wound would bleed more. She just let him do what he wanted and accepted his advances.

After the kiss, MinFeng closed his eyes and inhaled FengJiu's scent.

"MinFeng.. your wound.."

FengJiu tried to pull away from him but MinFeng wouldn't let her go.

"FengJiu... Promise me... Don't do that again... Please.. I beg you..."

FengJiu's eyes stung. She nodded as tears once again fell on her cheeks.

"Mm.. I'm sorry for being weak... I'm sorry for being a coward..."

MinFeng kissed her forehead and whispered.

"Remember.. we are your family.. Little Bump and I are also your family... Do not think that Yeye is the only one that loves you... FengJiu... I will die without you...

Do you hear me? I cannot live without you... So please... Be strong... Be strong for my sake... For Little Bump's sake.."
