Chapter 116 - Don't Cry, I'm Fine

After the call, MinFeng went back inside the room.

He saw FengJiu sweating really hard.

MinFeng immediately ran towards her. He grabbed a cloth and diligently wiped the sweat on her forehead.

FengJiu kept turning her head left and right as her hands were pushing MinFeng away from her.

"... MinFeng... Where are you? *sob* NOO!..."

FengJiu's eyes were still closed but every time MinFeng touched her, she would scream while trying to push and kick him away.

"No!! Don't touch me!! Don't touch me!!... MinFeng... MINFENG!!!"

MinFeng tried to hold FengJiu but he made sure to hold her gently to avoid hurting her.

Unfortunately, the more MinFeng tried to stop her and restrict her movements, the more FengJiu wanted to free herself.

"Shh... Shh... It's me! FengJiu, it's me, MinFeng.... Shhh.."

MinFeng paled as he tried to hug her while trying to say comforting words.

But FengJiu seemed like she could not hear him.

She kept screaming while trying to scratch MinFeng.

"Don't touch me!!... MinFeng!! MinFeng!! Where are you?! Help me... No!! *sob* don't, please!"

FengJiu seemed like she was on steroids. Her strength increased and was able to escape from MinFeng's embrace. She forcefully pushed him away and immediately curled in a fetal position to protect her abdomen.

MinFeng was thrown backwards. He almost fell on the ground but he immediately steadied himself.

When he saw FengJiu screaming while hugging her knees, MinFeng felt like the gods had abandoned him.

'Why is this happening to my family? Is this... my retribution for my sins?'

MinFeng once again slowly tried to touch FengJiu but she would immediately defend herself like an angry leopard every time she feels his touch.

...*sob* MinFeng... Where are you?? Where are you??"

MinFeng's face suddenly aged a lot. His eyes dimmed as he stared at FengJiu who was whispering incoherently.

Her eyes were still closed but her cheeks were already full of tears.

MinFeng wanted to hug her.

He wanted to tell her that everything was okay.

That everything was over.

The nightmare was over.

But she wouldn't let him near her.

She didn't recognize him.

She tried to avoid his touch.

MinFeng could only call the doctor and nurses.

When they arrived, FengJiu was still shaking while mumbling incoherently. Luckily, her IV drops were still attached to her hand.

Since FengJiu wouldn't allow anyone to touch her, the doctor could only order the nurse to give her a calming medicine.

When FengJiu stopped struggling and resumed sleeping peacefully, the doctor turned his attention to MinFeng.

"Mister, you must not aggrieve the patient. Her body is weak and she needs to rest."

The hospital was far from the city. The doctor was oblivious of MinFeng's status so he immediately castigated him without a second thought.

MinFeng did not get angry at the doctor. He only looked at him and nodded his head.

The doctor could only sigh.

"The patient's mental health is not stable, I suggest that you bring the patient to see a specialist.

I'm afraid that if her trauma is not immediately treated, it would affect her and her baby's health.

Mister, you must not lose hope. The only thing you can do right now is to make sure that the patient feels your concern and love."

After the doctor left, MinFeng slowly sat on the bed.

MinFeng stretched his hand to touch FengJiu's face but it froze halfway.

He was afraid that his touch might trigger her once again.

MinFeng lowered his hand. He was planning to leave when he heard FengJiu calling his name.

"MinFeng...."

"..... MinFeng."

After hearing FengJiu's voice, MinFeng was not able to hold back anymore.

He touched her face and traced her lips.

Fortunately, FengJiu did not react negatively.

MinFeng removed his shoes and slowly climbed the bed. He laid beside FengJiu and pulled her in his embrace.

He waited for FengJiu's violent reaction but this time, she did not refuse his touch.

When he felt FengJiu's body temperature, MinFeng was not able to control himself.

He cried.

He slowly pulled her closer as tears streamed down on his face.

"FengJiu... FengJiu..."

Words were not enough to express what he felt right now.

The bad things she experienced were because of him.

She was pushed and fell on the stairs because of him.

Their child was almost miscarried.

She was humiliated at the Charity Ball.

Her birthday celebration turned into a disaster.

And now, she was almost raped and her mental health was unstable.

MinFeng felt like he did not deserve FengJiu's love.

Because of stress and tiredness, MinFeng fell asleep beside FengJiu.

He did not know how long he slept, the next thing he knew, when he woke up, FengJiu was already awake.

She was staring at him intensely.

MinFeng's sleepiness disappeared. He wanted to sit up but FengJiu wouldn't allow him.

She wrapped her hands around his waist and buried her face on his chest.

"You're late."

MinFeng's eyes quivered. He could not help but tear up. He closed his eyes and embraced her tightly.

"En. Husband is incompetent. Will you forgive husband?"

FengJiu shook her head.

"I will not forgive you."

FengJiu said as she snuggled inside his embrace.

MinFeng slowly caressed her head.

"What should husband do to make wife forgive him?"

"I must punish you... You are not allowed to leave me again, okay?"

FengJiu started to sob.

The last time she saw MinFeng, he ran at the opposite direction, leaving her alone.

When MinFeng heard her words, he could not stop his tears anymore.

"Mmm... I swear... I will not leave you alone anymore.

I'm sorry... I'm sorry..."

FengJiu froze and slowly raised her head. When she saw him cry, she raised her hand and wiped his tears.

"Don't cry... I'm fine.. Little Bump and I are fine.. MinFeng... I don't blame you.. what happened to me was not your fault..

Please do not blame yourself... I know you tried your best to search for me...

I know...

So stop crying.."

FengJiu smiled as she kept on wiping MinFeng's tears.

"Shouldn't I be the one crying right now?"

FengJiu teased him. Her eyes were red because she also cried a while ago.

MinFeng kissed both of her eyes and hugged her once again.

'YanRong.... After what you've done, prepare for the worst."
