“You!” A gold sword light penetrated the heart of the old man, the latter stared at his disciple with disbelief, but Xuan Lingzi just pulled out his sword gently.

Suddenly, the environment changed again, and Xuan Lingzi returned to that canyon. He narrowed his eyes unpleasantly and looked down at his sword, no trace, no blood stain. However, he still pursed his lips and clenched the sword tight.

Then, he took another step.

This time, Xu Qingzi and other people died in front of him. He broke the illusive vision and returned to the canyon again.

Then, the third step!

Xuan Lingzi went back to the Grand Battle two hundred years ago, when he hadn’t finished the Deity Transformation Period. The Supreme Demon Exalt led millions of demons rushing towards them, while behind Xuan Lingzi just stood less then ten thousand cultivators. He brandished his sword, killing tens of thousands of demons alone.

And the fourth step, fifth step, sixth step…

Ultimately, Xuan Lingzi came to that pill. Without any hesitation, he raised his hand to grab that pill, yet a horrible black wind blew in front of him, forcing him to step back. Xuan Lingzi looked up at that black figure.

The black wind whirled and transformed into a vortex, blocking in front of the pill.

Xuan Lingzi vigilantly raised the sword in front of him. The black wind kept whirling and grew larger. Waves of pressure surged around the canyon, shaking the mountains, as if it were to swallow the whole world. However, just as the black wind touched the light of that pill, it stopped growing.

Xuan Lingzi maintained sharp vigilance while he looked at the wind, and then he heard a dry voice.

“Human…You are the human!”

Xuan Lingzi gazed at that black wind without saying anything.

“Why human again, why it’s not a demon? Human, yes, you’re a human. Let me ask you, do you want to get this pill? Of course, you definitely want, but why will I give it to you? No, I won’t. Humans are treacherous, you always break your words.”

Xuan Lingzi had instilled his spiritual power into the sword, ready to attack.

The black wind was still muttering to itself, “You must be the some as that man, you are liars. Yes, you will lie to me too. We have agreed to break the confinement together, we have agreed to transform into deity together, but he made it alone and left us…left us…No! He killed us! He killed us! Human! Human!!!”

As its harsh voice stopped, the black vortex rushed towards Xuan Lingzi!

The venom permeated into Xuan Lingzi’s wounds, making them unable to heal. Xuan Lingzi smacked those wounds and cut them off. The flesh fell onto the ground, melting into a puddle of black water after sizzling.

It seemed that Xuan Lingzi didn’t felt much pain. He watched the black water and narrowed his eyes, and then he raised his sword, fighting with the vortex. Gold lights surrounded the Xuan Lingzi sword, giving out overwhelming power. Then lights formed into a sharp knife, stabbing towards the vortex with unsurmountable momentum, but only scattered one tenth of the black vortex.

The black wind roared, “Human!!!”

Xuan Lingzi stamped and dashed forward.

The nine-pedaled golden lotus clashed with the black vortex in this narrow canyon. Each clash could tremble the earth and sway the mountains, and each blow could easily smash a Tribulation Passage cultivator into ashes.

The black vortex was the most horrible rival that Xuan Lingzi had ever encountered, which embedded the late-stage Deity Transformation Period power! If it had any tactics or wits, Xuan Lingzi would have been beaten long time ago.

Strangely, in the canyon any tree or stone was not hurt at all despite the intense fight. Their battle even left no scratch on the cliff wall. It seemed that they were fighting in a isolated area, not gonna affect anything out of the area.

The two sides were well-matched so to speak.
