Chapter 112: Jiu Lian and Mo Qing (II)

Luo Jianqing still remembered last time how Mo Qiu was pushed by these Mo Family’s Elders who even considered forcing him to marry a direct descendant. They chased after Mo Qiu for days till the talented Fiend Cultivator finally had enough and then left Tai Hua Mountain.

Recalling this, Luo Jianqing said with politeness, “With all my respect, sir, I have no idea where Mo Qiu is. We haven’t seen each other for a year.”

Boom! Immediately, a powerful coercion pressed on Luo Jianqing’s shoulder.

Resisting tremendous amount of forces, the young cultivator was pushed down by the coercion. The floor was broken and his feet were buried into ground.

The Elder said, “Luo Jianqing, people are saying that you are Mo Qiu’s friend-of-life-and-death. How come you don’t know how to get in touch with him?!”

Erasing all the polite smile from his face, Luo Jianqing sneered, “Sir,I need to remind you that you are stepping on Tai Hua Mountain’s territory. Think it over before you do anything.”

The Elder took a glance at Luo Jianqing with scorn, then he released more coercion, forcing Luo Jianqing to stoop. Nevertheless, it was the one and only disciple of the most powerful cultivator they were messing with. With his back straightening up like a pine and bleakness in his eyes, Luo Jianqing stared at the four Elders, “How dare you treat Tai Hua Mountain’s disciple like this? Do you really want to see your family being exiled from the Xuan Tian Continent?!”

Mo Feng’s arrogance loosened, “Kid, watch your mouth!”

Right hand clenched into a fist, the Elder was ready to hit Luo Jianqing in order to teach him a lesson. However, the latter still stood straight, having no intention to avoid the punch. He stared at Mo Feng quietly, as if he was saying “kill me if you dare”.

Under the vast firmament, Luo Jianqing raised his voice intentionally, “Is it so that the Ninth Elder of Mo Family – who has been cultivating for more than a thousand years – wants to bully a much younger cultivator who only cultivated for less than fifty years? My master only spent three hundred years on cultivating and has already reached a much higher cultivation level than you. If you couldn’t care less about your reputation, then finish me with your fists!”

His tone was still steady and calm, but was dyed with a touch of determination.

Mo Feng was stunned. He hesitated and then loosened his fists eventually. Still, he glared at Luo Jianqing, “Mo Qiu is very important to the Mo Family. If I find out that you are lying, concealing him from Mo Family, next time I will show no mercy.”

“Show no mercy to whom?!” A cold voice sounded from the edge of the sky.

Yu Qingzi landed in front of Luo Jianqing while slapping Mo Feng in the chest. The latter reeled several steps back and shouted in great anger, “Yu Qingzi!”

Yu Qingzi said coldly, “Mo Feng, how dare you mess with a Tai Hua Mountain’s disciple here?! Are you really this eager to give us a good reason to finish you off? Well, that’s understandable. You’ve been cultivating for one thousand and seven hundred years and yet you only reached a middle-stage Tribulation Passage Period. Today, I’ll spare your life since there’s little time left for you anyway. Now, piss off!”

Enraged, Mo Feng shouted, “Yu Qingzi! Shut your mouth up!”

In a blink, Mo Feng clenched his fists, about to punch Yu Qingzi. The trace of his fists generated a shadow of beast which had a boar’s brown body, a long flaming tail and a human’s face. The beast pounced, aiming at its enemy.

Immediately, Luo Jianqing’s pupils shrank, “The Vile Beast Shadow!”

Nonetheless, facing the unexpected attack, Yu Qingzi responded with a sneer. She didn’t even dodge, just held the ground calmly and took out a jade fly-whisk. While the item left a faint pale trace in the air, a golden phoenix flew out of the fly-whisk, fighting with the Vile Beast Shadow.

Its sharp claws tore the ugly beast apart. Then the phoenix spat out fire, eliminating any chance of survival of the beast.

Blood was seeping out of Mo Feng’s mouth.

As a talented cultivator who had fulfilled late-stage Tribulation Passage Period , Yu Qingzi could break Da Sheng Period a long time ago if she wasn’t that obsessed with Pill Forging. Dealing with this Elder of Mo Family was just a piece of cake for her. Summoning the fly-whisk into her interspatial ring, Yu Qingzi questioned Mo Feng with a bleak tone, “This time, we will visit the Fiend Realm together as allies, not enemies. We should learn how to get along even if there’s a feud between us. We made this agreement a few minutes ago. Forgetting it so quickly?”

Wiping out the blood, Mo Feng turned his head, glaring at Luo Jianqing. “I WILL know where Mo Qiu is!”

Yu Qingzi sneered, “Ready to force your family’s young descendant to go back, huh? Tens of thousands of years ago, it was your family who exiled the lineage of the direct descendant to the Northern Waste Land. Do you really believe that no one knows this scandal? A sordid usurpation happened right after the death of the Great Elder of Mo Family. You guys are nothing but a bunch of despicable hypocrites. Now, the real direct descendant disdains you guys and does not want to go back. What makes you think you have the right to force him?”

Mo Feng was furious, “You!”

Yu Qingzi dismissed him, “Just leave. Your presence is ruining my day,”

Having higher cultivation level, Yu Qingzi was way stronger than Mo Feng. Though the Mo Family were eager to know where Mo Qiu was, they wouldn’t dare to offend Yu Qingzi. They left unwillingly.

Following Yu Qingzi, Luo Jianqing entered the yard and heard the Pill Master said, “It is possible that Mo Qiu’s lineage is already awakened, plus his Body of Spiritual God, eventually the lad’s cultivation is improving at an astonishing speed. Jianqing, do not tell anyone where he is, ever. Perhaps in this way you can complete the forging of a karma that has run tens of thousands of years.”

“What do you mean by ‘lineage awakened’?”

Luo Jianqing never heard of this, not even from Xuan Lingzi. He kept listening curiously.

“During their best time, Mo Family had achieved grandeur no less than Tai Hua Mountain, not to mention the Great Master of Mo Family and Tai Hua Mountain’s Sir Jiu Lian were friends-of-life-and-death. They were both fulfilled-late-stage Deity Transformation Period cultivators. However, nobody knew what happened to them, nor did the history record mention about it; several hundred years later the Great Master of Mo Family suddenly disappeared. Then, as I just said, the offspring of concubines exiled the direct descendant to the Northern Waste Land. Ten years later, the Great Grand Master of Tai Hua Mountain – also the third Peak Master of Yu Xiao Peak – Sir Jiu Lian, was gone as well.”

Luo Jianqing frowned and grasped the point, “Several hundred years later?”

Yu Qingzi nodded, “Yep, no one ever knows what happened during that period of time. All in all, Mo Family went downhill. Treasure, fame, reputation…what their ancestors had worked for tens of thousands of years were all ruined in a blink. Nowadays, Mo Family is only ranked at the fourth among the Eight Families. Tai Hua Mountain went through a tough time as well. Sir Jiu Lian’s Life Lantern was broken to half but it keeps shimmering with scintillation. However, it is already impossible for the lantern to kindle again. Your Master will tell you all of these after you reached Out of Body Period because you are Yu Xiao Peak’s disciple. Since you’ve almost reached the early-stage Out of Body Period, it wouldn’t be a big deal if I tell you this ahead of schedule.”

Luo Jianqing was astonished, “How is this even possible? Tens of thousands of years had passed. If Sir Jiu Lian transformed into deity successfully, his Life Lantern would be broken completely; if he failed it, given that the life-span of a Deity Transformation Period Cultivator is only five-thousand years, he should be…”

Yu Qingzi shook her head in resignation, “Things just happen, Jianqing. Sir Jiu Lian is the most talented cultivator in history, and I am not exaggerating. Maybe he found a way to prolong his life”, Yu Qingzi beamed, “Oh, there’s one more thing. The record you are cultivating on – True Nine-Petaled Lotus Record – is a heritage Sir Jiu Lian left to the disciples of Yu Xiao Peak. He created this record.”

Luo Jianqing was stupefied.
