Chapter 13 - Bai Jing

She did not arrive too late. It was not even 6 PM yet, and it seemed like it was time for dinner.

Xing Jiuan wasn't hungry, but in order to ensure that nothing went wrong that night, she still ate some food.

Without her senior brother to take care of her later on, her stomach became very weak. She would often lie in bed in pain, but there was no one to tell her to drink more water and to buy medicine for her.

After buying a tea egg, she slowly peeled it and ate it before heading to the agreed place.

"Boss, you're early." A young man waved at Xing Jiuan. He had dimples when he smiled, making him look very bright and handsome.

Xing Jiuan smiled. "Is the car ready?"

"Of course. I definitely have to be more quick-witted when I'm handling Boss's matters," the young man said, as if he was putting on an amusing show.

Xing Jiuan pursed her lips and smiled. "Bring me there to have a look."

"Alright."

The youth led the way while Xing Jiuan followed by the side, examining the surroundings.

It had been a long time since she last came here. When she saw the familiar place once again, she wanted to take a few more glances.

The young man was the boss of this club. His name was Bai Jing. He had opened this club at the age of eighteen. It had been five years since then.

He also had his family's support. Otherwise, he wouldn't have had so much money on his own.

Xing Jiuan met him two years ago.

At that time, Xing Jiuan was only seventeen and had yet to reach adulthood. She had just returned from overseas and Mu Qing had gone to pick her up. On the way home, their car got scraped.

The person who repaired it was Bai Jing.

Later on, they got to know each other and became good friends.

"The keys."

Bai Jing threw the keys to her.

Xing Jiuan smiled and said, "I'll go for a spin or two."

She took the keys and got into the car. Bai Jing suddenly leaned against the car window. "Boss…"

He seemed to hesitate a little.

"Yes?"

"It's nothing. Go on."

Bai Jing moved away while Xing Jiuan started the car.

Like an arrow that had left a bowstring, the car sped away in the blink of an eye.

Bai Jing stood there, waiting for her to return.

This Pan Shan Highway was not open to the public.

Xing Jiuan wanted to race, so her rich and overbearing senior brothers and sisters had gathered some money and bought this place. They'd sorted it out and gave it to her for her to play with.

As she drove around the area, she allowed the wind to blow against her hair. Her baseball cap had long been taken off, and her silver-gray hair danced wildly in the wind.. Xing Jiuan's mood gradually calmed down.
