Chapter 56: Where Is The Trophy?

In the car, Claire kicked Hunter and struggled out of his arms, clinging to the car door. She tried to stay away from him as much as she could.

Hunter asked her sullenly. “Who is he? What’s your relationship with him?”

Claire held her chin in her hand, and tilted her head to look out of the car window. She simply ignored him.

Hunter asked again. “How long have you known each other for?”

Claire still didn’t say a word.

Staring at the back of the little thing’s head, Hunter pursed his thin lips, and his eyes were burnt with rage. “You… you’re dating two men at the same time?!”

Claire whipped her head back, staring at the man. “I’m dating neither him nor you!”

The car stopped in front of the Smiths’ mansion.

Claire got out of the car quickly and slammed the door hard.

Mr. Hopkins carefully observed Hunter through the rearview mirror.

Hunter’s face was gloomy and his eyes were red. He was like a furious lion, exuding a fiery aura.

Although Hunter was usually moody and grumpy, he had rarely been so angry.

It seemed that this time, he was really pissed.

“She got first place?!” Ada was on the phone in the living room, with her beautiful face twisted in shock.

Allen, on the sofa, raised his head. “What happened?”

Ada hung up the phone, and hesitated for a moment. Then, she said stiffly, “Mrs. Liu said, in this sports competition… Claire won first place.”

Allen snapped the book closed, and his perpetually stern face showed a shocked look.

Ada was in a complicated mood.

Phoebe was smart and perfect, but since she was pampered and spoiled, she wasn’t good at sports. In the previous two sports meets, she was amongst the bottom few, which made Ada feel a bit embarrassed.

When she heard other students’ parents boasting about how their sons or daughters did well in the sports meet, she couldn’t help feeling envious.

She never expected that Claire would win first place this time!

It was a pity that she didn’t accompany Claire to the sports meet.

Thinking of this, Ada felt a little regretful.

Phoebe was standing on the second floor, her fingers clasping the carved railing hard. Her eyes were filled with jealousy.

First place?

Claire won first place? What a joke!

Phoebe was not good at sports, which was her weak point. Now hearing about Claire’s accomplishment, she was almost mad with jealousy!

Downstairs

Claire walked into the house.

Ada immediately greeted her with a smile. “Claire, I heard you today…”

Ignoring her, Claire directly bypassed her and went upstairs.

The Johnsons’ villa

Hunter got out of the car and hurried into the gate angrily. In a cold voice, he said, “Investigate that Gallon, now!”

Following him behind, Mr. Hopkins said, “I know a little bit about Mr. Gu’s background.”

Hunter stopped abruptly. Tilting his head, he squinted at Mr. Hopkins. “What do you mean?”

Mr. Hopkins replied. “Gallon Miller used to be the most famous psychiatrist in the Ye Kingdom and was even received by the king. But a few years ago, something happened and his doctor qualification certificate was revoked.”

“What happened?”

Mr. Hopkins lowered his eyes and hesitated slightly. “He… killed someone…”

Hunter’s pupils constricted.

Kill?

Late at night

Claire came out of the bathroom and turned on the computer while wiping her hair with a towel.

The door was knocked, and Ada’s voice sounded outside.

“Claire, are you asleep yet?”

“No.” Claire threw the towel aside and sat in front of the computer.

Ada pushed the door open and saw that Claire was fiddling with the computer again. She secretly curled up her lips. Why does Claire always tinker with these useless things?

She walked up to Claire and smiled. “I heard that you won first place today. Where is the trophy?”
