Suspicion

“This is tofu.”

Zhao Zhan carried the tofu into the back kitchen. A chef saw that Manager Li had followed him in and tactfully gave him a stove.

“Do you have stock in the kitchen?”

“Yes, our inn’s stock is made from a stewed whole chicken. If you want to use it, you can use it to your heart’s content!”

Zhao Zhan was planning to make tofu with chicken soup today.
