Two days later, it was time to report back to S University.

Ji Zhiyao carried a bag on his bag as he dragged a small suitcase in his hand, he took his time to put his suitcase into Mo Huaifeng’s car then sat himself into the passenger seat.

Mo Huaifeng asked, “Did you remember to bring everything?”

“Yes, the important stuff is all in my backpack, I checked before leaving.”

Mo Huaifeng grunted in reply and spun the steering wheel.

The car slowly drove out of the base.

Ji Zhiyao caught a glimpse of the light bluish hue under his Captain’s eyes, the thought of him insisting on sending him to school even though he had not gotten enough sleep instantly made him grateful. “Captain, you’re really too good to me.”

“I’ve almost become your personal chauffeur.”

“Then, then what should I do? I’ll give you another set of salary on the side?”

Mo Huaifeng suddenly had the urge to crack open Ji Zhiyao’s skull and have a good look at what rubbish it contained.

Mo Huaifeng glanced at the white sedan in his rear view mirror that was attempting to overtake him, he pressed on the horn with one foot stepping on the accelerator before he said indifferently, “My annual salary is twice of yours, do I need extra salary?”

“Are you showing off now?”

“No.”

“You obviously are.”

“Whatever you say. So how do you intend on thanking me?”

Ji Zhiyao silently turned his head and sank into deep thought.

After a while, he turned back, speaking with an expression full of sincerity. “Captain, after the training camp, I’ll take you out to play.”

Hearing this, Mo Huaifeng almost stepped all the way down on the accelerator.

He controlled his heart that was slightly restless as he asked with a peaceful expression, “Where to?”

Ji Zhiyao pulled out his phone smoothly and opened the app to book tickets. “Captain, is there anywhere you want to go? Or where you want to tour? I’ll take you there!”

Mo Huaifeng did not speak but appeared to be thinking carefully. After a few minutes, he said, “Suddenly remembered, after our solo the previous time, you still owe me a favour.”

“I somehow have an ominous feeling… Captain what are you trying to do?”

“Nothing, just reminding you that you must serve me well. After all you still owe me a favour, for a person like you who stresses so much on promises, no matter how overboard the request is, you definitely won’t reject it, right?”

“Captain, do you have some sort of misunderstanding of the words ‘stressing on promises’?”

“I don’t think so.”

In the span of their conversation, the car had already arrived at the gates of S University. Mo Huaifeng drove through the gates and stopped outside Ji Zhiyao’s dorm building.

Ji Zhiyao said while he unbuckled his seat belt, “Captain, I’m serious. You go have a good look and see if there is anywhere you’d like to go, after the training camp ends, I’ll take you.”

Mo Huaifeng’s lips curled and he didn’t continue to refuse, replying, “Okay.”

Ji Zhiyao opened the car door, and moved his suitcase down, then waved to Mo Huaifeng. “Captain, I’m going. Later on I’ll send my new timetable for this semester to you through WeChat, you and Old Ning can arrange my training timings accordingly. See you in a few days.”

“Mhm.”

Hence Ji Zhiyao entered his dorm building.

Watching his back view, Mo Huaifeng wasn’t in a hurry to leave, but pulled out his phone and typed.

[May I ask where should I take my crush for a date, would I have a higher chance of successfully confessing?]

Ji Zhiyao pushed open the door of the dorm and realized that other than Wen Heng’s bed that was still empty, the other two beds have had their bedsheets spread. Ning Lichao and Yang Bing were currently sat at the table, gaming.

Seeing that he was back, both of them greeted him. Yang Bing glanced hastily at him, a bit of joy in his tone. “Old Ji, quickly come online. Old Ning and I are about to be able to play an advancement match, Master rank, begging to hug the golden leg to be carried to a win.”

Ji Zhiyao put away his suitcase and smiled, “Sure, but you got to wait for me to pack my clothes and then turn on my laptop.”

“No problem, we’ll wait, we’ll wait. Anyway, we still need some time before we can finish our current match. No hurry.” Yang Bing said readily.

With that, he paused for a moment, smacking his lips like he couldn’t keep it in as his expression suddenly turned complicated. “Old Ji, do you still have something against me?”

Ji Zhiyao lifted his head upon hearing that, slightly confused. “What did you say?”

“If I had something against you would I have gone to fetch you a few days ago? Does your conscience not hurt saying things like this?”

“Utter bullshit! Yes, yes yes you did come to find me, problem is, you didn’t take me away!”

“You don’t even know what it felt like when I woke up around 3am from my dreams because of the freezing cold. When I saw the empty barbecue shop then I thought I was being haunted, if it wasn’t for the waiter looking that tad bit familiar, I definitely would’ve peed my pants from the fright.”

“Um, I was drunk that day too, it was our Captain who called and came to fetch me. He even specially checked before leaving and knew that the barbecue shop operated 24/7, before he was assured with leaving you there. See, aren’t you fine now.”

“Do you think I would forgive you if you put it this way?”

“… If not?”

“I won’t.”

“I’m more pissed this time; it would take two treats for me to recover.”

“Damn it, stop talking. I’ll treat you!

“I have always had this feeling that someone is eyeing my wallet everyday.”
