Some of the disciples took a few steps back from the unknown pressure. They even believed that Man Weiwu was stronger than their own clan leader, Xiao Yuanshan.

“Ye Mo is my son-in-law. There’s no way we’ll hand him over,” Madame Xiao said calmly.

“He killed my son and my elite troops!” Man Weiwu roared as he became angrier. “I’ll have my revenge no matter what. If you still want to protect him, then I’ll have to take you down too.”

“If I’m not mistaken, your son was a Spirit Cultivating Fourth Realm warrior, and your elite troops consisted of Eighth and Ninth Realm warriors,” Madame Xiao said. “Even if Ye Mo has extraordinary talent, he’s still in the Fourth Realm. Do you really think he’s strong enough to kill them?”

“He’s as strong as a Ninth Realm warrior, Fourth Realm or not,” Man Weiwu shouted. “Ye Mo must’ve wanted Xiao Yue for himself. That’s why he killed my son–to cancel the marriage. Ye Mo had killed the young master of the Barbarians who had an arranged marriage with Xiao Yue. With that done, Ye Mo had now become a son-in-law of the Xiao clan. Anyone could’ve imagined the reason behind all of Ye Mo’s doings.

“If I hadn’t killed Man Tai, the Barbarians would all be dead by now!” Ye Mo said.

“Nonsense! You killed my son, and yet you dare say it was for our good?” Man Weiwu shouted and thrust his palm forward. Even though it was only a thrust, Madame Xiao was unable to deflect it and realized she had no time to save Ye Mo from the attack.

A huge palm made out of energy appeared and inched towards Ye Mo. It was one of the abilities gained by Energy Shaping Realm warriors.

I can’t evade this! Ye Mo thought.

Suddenly, a door behind them flew open, and a cloud of fog shot towards the sky, forming a colored cloud that blocked the sunlight. The cloud and the energy palm both disappeared after a few seconds.

“If anyone dares touch my son-in-law, I’ll have their family killed!” a huge voice shouted. The voice was mixed with an intense force that pushed some of the weaker Energy Shaping Realm and Spirit Cultivating Realm Barbarian warriors back.

“A True Energy Force that can pierce the sky! Someone has broken through into the True Energy Realm! Is it Xiao Yuanshan?” Man Weiwu shouted anxiously. He suddenly felt a pain in his chest and took a few steps back.

A warrior of the True Energy Realm stood not far from them as he glared furiously at the Barbarians. The force that he was emitting had caused immense pressure on the Barbarians.

Xiao Yuanshan kicked into the air as two massive energy wings formed from True Energy appeared on his back. He landed in front of Ye Mo and shouted, “All of you have to go through me first before you can touch Ye Mo! I dare all of you to challenge me, a True Energy Realm warrior!”

“Impossible!”

“Xiao Yuanshan managed to reach the True Energy Realm before Qin Hao and Ye Kuang? He was behind them when they broke through into the Energy Shaping Realm, how is it possible for him to do that before them?”

The old man’s body was different than the other Barbarians. He had the power to change his body shape with his will, but his black skin was proof that he was one of the Barbarians.

“High Priest, I’m sorry for calling you on such a short notice,” Man Weiwu said and bowed to the old man.

Xiao Yuanshan frowned at the old man that had suddenly appeared. He could feel that the old man was a clone formed by True Energy. Yet warriors weaker than the True Energy Realm had no way to tell if the old man was the real thing or a clone.

Even if the old man was a clone, he still had a dangerous aura hanging around him.

“I see, so that’s why you called me,” the old man said as he looked at Xiao Yuanshan. “I’ll take care of the True Energy Realm martial artist, you take care of Ye Mo.”

“Ye Mo! That old man is a clone!” Ling’er shouted.

“Doesn’t that mean I can absorb it?” Ye Mo asked.

“Don’t be stupid! Do you think you can absorb everything?” Ling’er said. “That is the clone of a True Energy Realm warrior. Tou won’t even be able to get close to him.”
