Chapter 712: Fusion Between Death and the Glorious Sun

“This Ice Fire Spear Aura cultivated by a Profound Realm fighter can’t even compare with that of a Heaven’s Strength Realm fighter?” Ye Mo shook his head and didn’t give it any further thought. He resumed his deep state of training.

The cultivation of the Ice Fire Spear Aura was just the beginning. The real deal was the combination of the Power of Death and the Power of the Glorious Sun.

Once the fusion was successful, the power of the Caged Dragon Powers would be boosted extremely. The boost was in terms of quality – 10 rays of Caged Dragon Powers would be equivalent to 13 or even 15 rays of Caged Dragon Powers.

“My Powers of Death can only be utilized when I display the Will of Death. Even if I can fuse that with the Caged Dragon Powers, it won’t be easy.”

Ye Mo also knew that the two opposing forces were like a spear and a shield clashing against each other.

But, after discussion with Yao Yue, Ye Mo thought about the logic behind the Ice Fire Fusion. The Powers of Death wouldn’t fuse completely with the Powers of the Glorious Sun. Instead, it would fuse with the Asura Powers.

The Asura Powers and the Powers of Death were originally the same power types. Combining those two together would be far easier than the combination of normal powers.

There were two powers inside Ye Mo’s Energy Center – the Powers of Death and the Powers of the Glorious Sun. As he started the fusion, it was as if two venomous snakes intertwined with each other.

But the two powers started to reject each other. The fusion process wasn’t as easy as he had imagined after all.

As time passed, the two sources of powers were pressed against each other.

But, at the same time, Ye Mo felt as if his body was starting to combust.

The Asura Powers had long since combined with the Powers of the Glorious Sun. Now, the combination of those two powers led to the fusion of the Powers of the Glorious Sun and the Powers of Death – a passive fusion.

The thing that would enable Ye Mo to start the fusion was the active Glorious Sun.

For a passive fusion, all Ye Mo had to do to achieve true fusion was to endure the pain of the two powers combining together.

“Ah!” Ye Mo yelled out in pain. The Powers of Death had erupted and started to destroy like the grim reaper, destroying Ye Mo’s body and plunging his entirety in death.

But the Light of the Glorious Sun started to erupt, descending down like an angel and healing Ye Mo’s body, building everything back.

Destroy, repair, destroy, repair.

Ye Mo was on the verge of losing consciousness.

The fusion of the two powers repeated this process of destruction and repair.

After a hundred of those cycles had gone by, Ye Mo’s body and mind were numb.

“Combining two opposing forces together – it isn’t easy.” Ling’er, already at Ye Mo’s side, frowned as she looked at him.

Having known Ye Mo for so long, even though Ye Mo’s various incredible feats never failed to amaze her, at this point, to a small extent, she had gotten used to them.

This nonchalance was due to the fact that he had deity-like powers in the form of the Caged Dragon Powers.

Now, without such powers, what he was doing caused her to be in complete disbelief. Even Hong Ling was completely shocked.

He had to rely on his own willpower to complete this fusion.

“Death, Glorious Sun, stop!”

Just as the fusion was about to reach its 108th cycle, Ye Mo erupted. He didn’t want to endure anymore – he had to take back control. Both the Powers of the Glorious Sun and the Powers of Death were his powers. How could he allow the powers to continue doing whatever they wanted?

After enduring so many of those cycles, under Ye Mo’s strong willpower, the two powers finally fused together.

Such a fusion was a breakthrough-level.

The combination of the two powers was not as easy as adding one to one – Ye Mo could feel that, in his current state, he would be able to defeat a fighter in the Half Profound Realm even without the Caged Dragon Powers. Now, all he had to do was to wait for the awakening of the Caged Dragon Powers.

Combining the four powers together, he formed a new power – the Shadow Dragon Powers.
