Chapter 667: Xue Can’s Final Step

Elder Tao Tie appeared between Ye Mo and Li Huangmin, his face filled with wrinkles and anger.

“The nerve of you two,” Elder Tao Tie chastised them.

“You people of the Punishment Hall are all working together. You’re all after my Mountain and River Diagram, isn’t that so?” Ye Mo said. “Elder Tao Tie, I admit that I’ve killed plenty of Door of Desolation disciples. But it’s because they were after my head first, which is why I responded in kind. This is something that even the higher-ups like yourself are aware of. “Hand me the seal,” Elder Tao Tie said. “If things are really as Ye Mo described, and these Punishment Hall people are just after your Mountain and River Diagram, I’ll give you my support. If they are just carrying out their legal duties, I will not protect you.”

Xue Can smiled sweetly at Elder Tao Tie before tilting her head to look at Ye Mo. Speaking gently into his ear, she said, “If you want to keep Xiao Yue alive, then destroy that seal.”

Ye Mo’s face fell. “What do you want?”

“Elder Tao Tie, everyone, Little Can has something to say to Ye Mo.”

After she finished speaking, she flew to a mountain in the distance, with Ye Mo following suit.

With Profound World Realm fighters present, they weren’t worried about Ye Mo doing anything unexpected.

“Little Can has already finished investigating,” Xue Can said. “Both you and Xiao Yue are from the Limestone City. I’m guessing you two have a close relationship?”

“So what?” Ye Mo frowned, a little uneasy.

“You were hit by my Profound Silkworm Poison Curse and somehow survived,” Xue Can explained. “That piqued my curiosity. My Profound Silkworm Poison Curse is one of the Four Main Poison Curse Powers. Unless you possess an Ancient Spiritual Medicine, there’s only one other way to remove my poison curse – by fighting poison with poison.”

“What did you say? Fight poison with poison?”

Fighting poison with poison was only possible through mating.

The thought flashed across Ye Mo’s mind. He asked Ling’er, “Ling’er is this true?”

“That day, in order to save you, Xiao Yue made a huge decision,” Ling’er replied. “She said that she would be willing to die for you. The only reason she’s to staying by the Young Master’s side is because she has to avenge for her master.”

“Xue Can, what do you want?” Ye Mo asked viciously.

“Nothing much,” she said. “Xiao Yue is ultimately still one of the Four Main Poison Curse Bodies, and will prove useful for the Master. But, her status seriously threatens mine, so I have to kill you in order to get in the Master’s good books.”

Xue Can smiled. “If you take responsibility for all the crimes, the Punishment Hall will throw you into jail. Whether you end up dead or alive, will be up to fate. And I’ll pretend I don’t know anything about what did or didn’t happened between you and Xiao Yue.”

Xue Can stood right in front of Ye Mo. He could kill her with a single hand.

Ye Mo wasn’t afraid of fighting his way out. He could kill Little Can here and now. But it would bring disaster to the Tianwu Kingdom. If he ran away, the Young Master would know of Xiao Yue’s relationship with him.

“Ye Mo, what do you say?” Xue Can said with a sly smile. “Give up. I promise to not target Xiao Yue. After all, when this mission is completed, I’ll become the Master’s most valued person. Your Tianwu Kingdom will retain its status as a top-tier kingdom.”

“I should have killed you then,” Ye Mo said through clenched teeth. “I can’t believe I saved such an evil woman like you.”

Ye Mo knew that ever since Xue Can arrived at the Door of Desolation, she had accounted for every move he had made. Every step he took landed him in her trap. Such a woman had to be eradicated.

“You are too kind!” Xue Can bowed slightly.

“Brother Ye Mo, wait for me to burn my flesh and take you away,” Ling’er said seriously. “I’ll bring you into the seal.”

Even if Ye Mo were to surrender, based on the evilness of Xue Can, she could still end up harming both the Tianwu Kingdom and Xiao Yue.

“Ling’er, wait!”

Ye Mo hesitated. He knew clearly that if he was really thrown into prison, it was unlikely that he would ever get to see the sun again.

Ye Mo didn’t listen to Ling’er – while his opponent might still not let the Tianwu Kingdom and Xiao Yue off even if he were to end up in jail, this represented a sliver of hope.

He was willing to give up everything for Xiao Yue.

Therefore, no matter what happened, he was going to protect her.
