Chapter 119: The Frozen Palace

Two shadows strolled through the snow-covered land. Every step they took left no footprints on the snow.

The Frozen Area was a place that normal people without cold resistant could not enter. If they did, they would freeze to death instantly.

Before Ye Mo and Cai Ling entered the Frozen Area, they covered themselves tightly with white shirts and cloaks made from thick fur.

The white cloak was prepared by Cai Ling. Not only could they conceal themselves in the white snow, but it also allowed the wearer to enter the Frozen Area without any cold resistance.

With the concealment and the fact they were in the Frozen Area, pursuers from the Pleasure Valley would have a hard time locating them.

The concealment was so detection-proof that only warriors stronger than the Heaven’s Strength Realm who could spread their will into the energy around them could detect them.

“The Frozen Palace!” Ye Mo shouted as he pointed at a palace made from bricks of ice.

Even if it was made from ice, it was sturdy as the materials used were the Absolute Zero Ice. Even Energy Shaping Realm warrior would have a hard time trying to break one of it.

Two ice fortresses stood on the palace’s side as warriors guarded the palace’s entrance. They all wore a thin layer of blue shirts as they stood in the cold without any movements.

All of them were trained in ice-related Cultivation Methods. Staying in the Frozen Area improved their cultivation immensely. Most warriors who trained in such Cultivation Methods sought to join the Frozen Palace to get a grasp on the strongest ice martial technique.

With the Sky Blood Spear on his back, Ye Mo stopped in front of the gate as the snow beneath Ye Mo began to melt at an astounding speed. Cai Ling stopped beside him.

Even if Ye Mo was trying his best to keep the Sky Blood Spear under control, he still found it hard as the spear was always trying to release all of its rage.

Anyone with normal eyesight would instantly notice that Ye Mo was carrying a terrifying weapon.

“Ye Mo, I’ve heard that the Frozen Palace has a Thousand-Years Absolute Zero Ice that even the Hellfire can’t melt,” Cai Ling said. “If you could get your hand on it and make a sheath for your spear, it should be able to suppress the rage. And when you unsheathe the spear, it should be able to release all the rage it’s suppressing, making it stronger.

The Thousand-Years Absolute Zero Ice didn’t release any cold air around itself, but it could freeze anything that it touched instantly.

If it was made into a sheath for the Sky Blood Spear, not only could it help hide the spear’s true form, it could also increase the spear’s power when it was unsheathed.

“Isn’t that the most prized treasure of the whole Frozen Palace?” Ye Mo asked in awe.

“If we could help them destroy the Pleasure Valley, I think the Palace Lord will grateful enough to give you the ice,” Cai Ling said. “Plus, you have the ability to create True Energy Pills. That could also help our negotiation with him greatly. Let’s head on in first. We’ll talk about the ice after we talk about how we are supposed to defeat Xiaoyao Langzi.”

Ye Mo nodded, and they walked towards one of the ice fortresses.

“Who goes there?” one of the guards shouted. “Are you from the Pleasure Valley? If so, you’re not allowed to pass.”

The guards on the fortresses were formidable. The weakest of them was a Spirit Cultivation Sixth Realm warrior while the strongest, the head guard, was a Half-Energy Shaping Realm warrior.

All of them were wearing thin clothes as if the cold air didn’t bother them at all. It showed that they were all residents of the Frozen Palace.

With their cold resistance level high enough to withstand the low temperature around them, Ye Mo’s Heavenly Frost Charms wouldn’t be able to even put a scratch on them.

Both Ye Mo and Cai Ling were wearing thick cloaks which clearly showed that they were outsiders.

“I’m the City Lord of the Women City, and I’m here to meet with the Palace Lord of the Frozen Palace!” Cai Ling shouted.

The guards all looked at each other curiously as the head guard opened his mouth and said, “The City Lord of the Women City? What proof do you have? We’ve heard that the City Lord was caught by the Pleasure Valley, and her powers were sealed with the Beast Cuff! You must be an imposter! Guards! Take them down!”

The head guard didn’t give Ye Mo and Cai Ling time to explain their situation. Armed with great blue swords, the guards began to surround Ye Mo and Cai Ling, trying to take them down.

“We aren’t here to fight,” Ye Mo said calmly. “Please, we don’t want to harm anyone!”

“Take them down!” the head guard ordered.

Just as the guards were closing in on Ye Mo and Cai Ling, they were all sent back with an invisible force.

Yet they weren’t harmed even the slightest as Ye Mo and Cai Ling had both toned down their powers.

“Not bad! How about this!” the head guard shouted as he witnessed his subordinates were all sent flying away by the two people claiming to be from the Women City. He jumped as a huge ice blue greatsword appeared in his hand. When he was above Ye Mo, he swung the sword down at Ye Mo’s head.

Everything happened in an instant. The sword was already inches away from hitting Ye Mo.

The Dragon Energies inside Ye Mo roared as he blocked the sword with his bare hand.

Both Ye Mo and the head guard took a few steps back from the clash as the ground near Ye Mo was slashed open.

“Impossible! How did you take that hit without a weapon!” The head guard gasped as he stared at Ye Mo. Even the guards that were sent flying away all looked at Ye Mo as he had just blocked an attack from a Half-Energy Shaping Realm warrior.

“Are you sure you want this to continue?” Ye Mo asked. “We’re only here to meet with the Palace Lord. If we really were from the Pleasure Valley, all of you would be dead by now!”

“What’s going on here?” a soft voice asked.

Ye Mo turned and saw a teenage girl standing on one of the ice hills. She wore a tight blue training robe that showed off her perfect curves. She had a stunning face, complemented by short blue hair. With her hands on her hips, she stood on the hill like a proud warrior.

The head guard bowed to the girl and said, “M’lady, these two people came from the Pleasure Valley, and one of them claims that she’s the City Lord of the Women City. They said they wanted an audience with the Palace Lord.”

“The City Lord of the Women City?” the girl said as her eyes lit up. “I’ve met the City Lord before. Please take off your hat.”

Cai Ling took off her hat and replied in a helpless tone, “So you’re the young lady of the Frozen Palace. It’s been a long time, hasn’t it, Bing Bing?”

Under the hat was a stunning beauty that could make any man lose their breath.
