Chapter 776 Changes

Fu Hua stepped forward and explained that the little girl couldn’t eat properly because of the food poisoning, as she has been having only porridge.

In fact, Jasmine refused to eat anything apart from porridge because she was afraid. She developed a phobia after that incident, and she is being very watchful of the food she wanted to eat.

Apart from the ice cream she demanded which has not yet been given to her, she had not made any other request so far.

She looked fine with eating only porridge. Poor little girl.

Grandfather Fu understood the reason the little girl had lost weight, and apologized to her, after taking her small hands in his and squeezing them gently.

Jasmine didn’t know how to react to that gesture and could only thank him while letting him continue holding her hands.

At the military base where Fu Juan and Lanying were taken to, Fu Lei arrived in a military vehicle with some escorts.

The reason he came by was already known and he was directly ushered into the office of the current chief in charge.

Not long after he had settled down and chatted a bit with him, Fu Juan was brought to him.

Fu Juan’s current state couldn’t be termed as too bad. Her clothing was poor, and her hair was tied up in a bun. No make-up on her face, which caused her to appear and look more simple.

Even after spending only 24 hours there, she still hasn’t lost her poise.

When she saw her eldest brother and the stack of papers before him, she didn’t need anyone to tell him the reason he came to see her.

He was here with the divorce papers.

Fu Juan was given a seat. Her hands were free, which signified that she hasn’t been convicted of the crime she committed yet.

Picking up a pen from the desk, Fu Lei handed it to her and passed the divorce papers to her.

”You are free to go through them before signing, although no changes are going to be made even if you want to refuse the agreement.”

Taking the pen and the divorce papers from him, Fu Juan asked, shifting her gaze to him, “What if I don’t sign them?”

Fu Lei replied in a cold tone, “It’s not like you ha e any choice. Just go through those papers now that I’m giving you the chance.”

Fu Juan was very angry but powerless. She couldn’t do anything to vent her anger. And in order to keep her little pride and not be disgraced by her brother who was capable of doing anything to her, she picked up the divorce papers and went through them.

She needed to see if any changes were made from the last one.

Surprisingly, no changes were made. She could at believe that her father still let her have the house after all she has done.

Fu Lei could read her mind and k w what she was thinking. He scoffed and burst her bubbles, “Don’t fool yourself. You only have the house because the things you left at the Fu house had to be taken somewhere. You are lucky that father is still the family head. If I were to be in his shoes, I would burn all your things.”

Fu Juan rolled her eyes before flipping through the pages of the papers to pen down her signature.

Immediately after she was done signing them, Fu Lei snatched them from her and was about to leave when she stopped him with a question.

”What measures had the family taken to handle my company, you can’t let it fall apart right?”

Fu Lei spared her a glance and replied with an annoyed tone, “I am not in charge of your company, so I don’t know the answer to that question,”

Fu Juan didn’t get to throw another question at him because he left immediately, and she couldn’t chase after him because she was now being held by two soldiers.

Breathing heavily, Fu Juan stared in the direction he left. There was hurt, regret, and hatred in her eyes, but without power, she couldn’t do anything about it.

Over the next few days, Jasmine returned to school, but Jia Li took a week off from work to look after her because her mind was not at ease, and no one in the family could stop her.

But when a week was over, she had to return to work but would clock off early and rush to her school to bring her back.

During the past few days, some events took place and some changes were made.

Shi Qiao left the Fu house with Meixu for their own house.

Fu Geming was put in charge of Fu Juan’s company, but since he had his own company to run, someone was appointed from the board of directors to take charge of the company and in turn, give feedback to Fu Geming.

Aiguo was kept up to date with the company’s new projects and the latest news on daily basis by his personal assistant so that he would always have the awareness of what happened, what will happen, and what was happening with the company.

When he resumed his position, there wouldn’t be any void.

Aiguo also reunited with his second family and moved all his things out of the house that belonged to him and Fu Juan.

Now that he was free from her hackers, he purchased a good house and had his new family, move into there.

Still hospitalized, he promised to sign the marriage certificate with his new woman once he was discharged.

All of these, remained hidden from the media and the public, because Grandfather Fu did not want any drama, and Aiguo respected his decision.

Another week passed, and it was Jasmine’s birthday. Also, it was Jia Li’s day, but not much noise was made about it.

There was no big party this year as earlier planned and decided.

Jasmine had an inhouse family birthday celebration before being taken to the orphanage by her father, to hand out gifts.

In their company, her grandparents tagged along, and her uncle Pei and Uncle Ling tagged along, but Jia Li did not go with them, because she was tired.

In fact, lately, she was feeling very tired.
