Chapter 759 Now an official relationship

Fu Ling was too hungry to say anything to her, and her cooking was top-notch.

While eating, Fu Ling got so many calls from his mother and sister, but he didn’t answer them until he finished eating.

He had wanted to return Meixu’s call, but she ended up calling before he could do that.

”You didn’t come home last night, and it’s past breakfast time, and you are still nowhere to be found,” Meixu said with a hint of urgency.

Everyone asked about him the previous night, but no one knew where he went to spend the night.

The only thing Meixu knew was about the business meeting he had, and nothing else.

”Did you check at my girlfriend’s place?”

”You have a girlfriend?”

”Forget it, I will be home for lunch.” Fu Ling said and terminated the call, then he met gazes with Xiulan who was staring at him in surprise.

”Why are you looking at me that way? You like me, and I like you too. There is no harm in dating.” Fu Ling said to her, for he understood the reason she looked so surprised.

Xiulan who was shocked earlier, now looked happy as a smile bloomed on her face.

”You like me now?” She asked expectantly.

Fu Ling refused to reply to her and focused on his phone, pretending as if he didn’t hear a thing.

There was no way Xiulan could let him rest without replying to her, hence, she continued to pester him until he had no choice but to admit to it.

”I had no idea you were this stubborn,” He said with a helpless gaze.

Back at the Fu house, Meixu replied to her mother who was pestering her about reaching out to Fu Ling.

”I told you about the business meeting yesterday, but currently, he is at his girlfriend’s place.”

Fu ChuHua didn’t say anymore because she was surprised.

The reason he was missing during dinner and breakfast the following day was because he was with his girlfriend?

She found it a little hard to believe given his personality.

Some days later, Fu Juan is getting ready to pay a visit to Aiguo at the hospital. She wanted to keep monitoring him to know when he would wake up.

The news about him in the media had quickly died down, with other important stories coming up from different people and aspects.

Fu Juan had just stepped out of her room when she met a full-dressed Lanying in her path.

”Are you going somewhere?” She asked with raised brows after taking a quick glance at her.

”I heard you are going to the hospital, let me come with you,” Lanying said with a gentle gaze.

Fu Juan didn’t understand the reason she wanted to come with her, because there was no relationship between them, and never have they had a conversation before, but she just let her come with her.

There has been a gap in their relationship, and she agrees with her request, which should be able to amend for most of it.

”You can come with me,” Fu Juan said and led the way.

”Thank you,” Lanying smiled and followed after her.

On their way to the hospital, Lanying asked her to stop by a flower shop.

”What are you doing with the flowers that will wither within a day if there is no one to care for them?”

”I don’t care if it will wither, but it should be a gift to your husband to wish him a quick recovery,” Lanying said with a harmless smile.

Fu Juan wasn’t happy with her good wishes for Aiguo, but she couldn’t show it. In the end, she allowed her to get the flowers, which would somehow help with a publicity stunt.

Lanying knew her mother would be unhappy with that statement, and also knew that she wouldn’t be able to do anything, so she said it purposely to spite her.

When you bite someone, and he/she can’t do anything about it, it was surely the sweetest kind of feeling ever, and that was how Lanying felt at the moment.

When she entered the flower shop, Fu Juan remained in the car waiting for her, until she reappeared a few minutes later with a bouquet of fresh yellow roses.

Fu Juan could only stare at the flowers in annoyance before driving off.

On getting to the hospital, Fu Juan took Lanying to the VIP room where Aiguo was laying with the help of life support.

After taking a quick glance at him, she turned to Lanying. “I’m going to see the doctor, wait here and don’t go anywhere.”

”Mmm…” Lanying hummed in response as she watched her leave before turning to the nurse to smile at her.

”She said I can’t leave, and I’m so thirsty, could you help me with bottled water, I don’t like drinking from the dispenser?”

The nurse smiled back at her, “Oh, that’s not a problem at all, there are bottles of water in the refrigerator.” She said as she walked to the small refrigeration and opened it.

Taking a bottle of water out from it, she passed it to the disappointed Lanying who tried to hide her emotions.

”You brought the flowers for the patient right?” The nurse asked as she passed with the bottle in her hand.

She almost forgot that Lanying was holding a big bouquet of yellow roses in her arm.

”Yes, ” Lanying replied with a smile and quickly thought of another excuse to send her away.

”Please help put it in a clean vase and a good quantity of wanted,” She said while passing the bouquet to her.

The nurse took it from her happily, “Sure, I will.”

Lanying smiled happily and took the bottle of water from her, and watched her leave through the entrance door.

Now finally alone, she walked closer to Aiguo’s bed and took a good look at him.

”This woman was truly merciless in her actions. This is more than a fatal case. Did she change her mind and tried to get him killed instead?”
