When it was time for the scheduled meeting, Butler Li came to call Fu Juan, as her brothers were already waiting in the study.

Some minutes later, Fu Juan was already sitting in the midst of her father and brothers.

”Did you forget the time of the meeting, or did you just want someone to come and call you?” Fu Geming asked with a frown.

They had kept track of the time and had come early, but she being the topic of discussion, felt relaxed and had to wait to be treated specially.

Fu Juan shifted comfortably on the couch and said, “It’s not like that. I was about to come out when Butler came over.”

Grandfather Fu didn’t want an argument to start before the main reason they came for, so he sighed and started speaking first with his gaze on Fu Juan.

”I would have loved us to have an open meeting with all the family gathered here so that everyone would follow up on your matter, but on a second thought, I called off that idea, and decided to give a chance and see if you are worth the remaining shred of respect everyone has left for you.”

Grandfather Fu was saying that the only reason he didn’t call everyone to join in this meeting was to give her the last respect and see if it was worth it, otherwise, she would have felt insulted if the others were involved in the meeting.

Fu Juan was already feeling insulted by the manner her father was speaking to her, and that made her begin to wonder how come everyone now had a little respect for her.

No matter how annoyed she was, she couldn’t refute him. She just swallowed her anger and looked on.

”First, we are going to start with your husband. Where is he? And why did you choose to come over here?” Grandfather Fu asked.

At the mention of her husband, Fu Juan’s face turned uglier. She hissed and looked away, so h caused her to be scolded.

”Father asked you a question, what are you hesitating for?” Geming asked with an annoyed gaze.

”If you are going to waste our time in this meeting, I think it will be better if you took your bags, along with that adult lady you came with, and leave this house immediately!” Fu Lei said authoritatively. He looked so angry that he could hit her any minute.

Fu Juan knew that he would never hit her, but at this moment, she was so scared that he would do it, so she flinched.

”Juan, the rule in this meeting is that you have to give a reply to every question you are asked, or I won’t stop your brothers from taking the decision they already have in mind, and which will be for the benefit of all.” Grandfather Fu said after watching silently. His tone wasn’t even stern, which made it difficult to tell if he was angry.

Right, his tone was calm, but his words meant a lot of things. If he handed her over to her brothers to take care of, she knew what kind of fate would befall her. Forget the fact that they would immediately send her away, it would also be difficult for her to come and visit during ceremonies and special occasions.

”I don’t know where my husband is right now, but before I came over, he has been living somewhere else with another woman.”

”The same woman he has two children with?” Grandfather Fu asked, and she nodded.

At this point, Fu Lei and Fu Geming looked lost. They looked lost and confused as if the meeting had gone on without them.

”Wait, I know about your husband being unfaithful, but where did the two children pop out from?” Fu Geming asked with a confused gaze.

That question brought tears to Fu Juan’s eyes, but she refused to cry even after sniffing several times.

Since she didn’t want to answer him, Fu Geming turned to his old man for confirmation.

”This is not a new story, but because she chose to let it slide and not let anyone intervene, I pretended not to know and care about it.” Grandfather Fu said.

As Fu Juan did not refute what their father confessed, the two brothers were very angry.

”How could you not speak up when your husband has two children outside your marriage and is even living with the other woman?!” Fu Lei asked with a furious gaze.

At last, Fu Juan spoke up. She wiped her tears and said with her gaze on them, “Because I don’t want a divorce. The reason I am here today is that he asked me for a divorce, so I came here to get away from him.”

”Why don’t you want to give him a divorce?” Fu Geming asked.

”How can I give him a divorce at this stage of our lives?! He already has another woman and children as well, he already has everything, so how can I give him freedom after everything he had done to me?!” Fu Juan cried out.

No matter what, she wouldn’t grant a divorce to her husband. That was like accepting everything he did to her, which she did not want to.

”He has everything, but what about me?!” Fu Juan asked.

”I know. I won’t find full happiness if I don’t divorce him, so would he. He will never get to legally be with that woman in this lifetime as long as I don’t sign those divorce papers!” Fu Juan declared boldly.

”Your husband is wrong, and we will settle issues with him, but you still have to grant him that divorce. You already have a family, and a business you are running, so why do you want to ruin the little happiness you could enjoy?” Grandfather Fu asked.
