Chapter 692 A Date Night

Her schedule has been a bit tight, and immediately Shi Qiao found out about her free time, he asked her out on a date.

”Do we have to go on a date today? I heard that many places will be crowdy.” Meixu asked. She wouldn’t like to be photographed or interrupted on their date, and that can only happen if they go to a place with a lot of people who may recognize her.

”Not on a rooftop exclusively booked by me.” Shi Qiao replied with a hint of a smile in his tone.

A smile slowly appeared on Meixu’s face as she adjusted her sitting position. She was sitting on a dining chair and looked like she has just finished having a bowl of cereal for breakfast.

”I guess you have been waiting for a long time for this date because you seem so much prepared.” She said to him.

From his words, she could sense that he has already made arrangements before telling her about it.

Shi Qiao replied with laughter in his tone, “You are right. I missed you, and I can’t wait to meet you.”

Meixu and Shi Qiao’s relationship was so good right now, that they often and openly express their emotion toward each other.

”You can come to pick me up at my penthouse any time. I didn’t have any plans of going anywhere today.” Meixu said to him. How could she reject going on a date with him when she missed him as well?

”I will be at your doorstep by 5 pm.” Shi Qiao said. He really looked and sounded very happy, like he couldn’t wait to see her.

Meixu was well aware that Shi Qiao did keep to time, so by 4 pm, she started to get ready for their date.

Since he said their date would be on a rooftop, Meixu was mindful of her choice of outfit. The dress had to be beautiful and a little conservative, plus an added coat because of the air.

At exactly 5 pm on the dot, Shi Qiao arrived at her doorstep and rang the doorbell. One ring was enough for Meixu to answer the door since she has been waiting for him.

Before unlocking the door, Meixu looked through the security screen on the door. When she saw it was Shi Qiao, her face lit up in excitement, and she quickly opened the door.

”Look who is here.” Shi Qiao said with a big smile after he caught sight of Meixu who was smiling from ear to ear.

Meixu pulled him by the arm and dragged him into the room, and said while shutting the door, “Come in before my neighbors see you and spread the news.”

Meixu’s apartment was not the only one on that floor, and although her neighbor maybe someone of a high social standard, she couldn’t trust that he/she wouldn’t gossip or take photos, so she was being very careful.

Although her relationship with Shi Qiao was official, she still hasn’t posted about her relationship with him on the internet.

”What if they see me, it doesn’t matter right?” Shi Qiao asked as he took her hand and walked in together.

”It matters. I don’t want those journalists and reporters to keep an eye on our relationship. You need to see how good they are with painting a false image of someone.” Meixu said in an irritated tone.

This is the reason she has been delaying posting her relationship on her social media handles. She didn’t think she was ready for any false right up, and being in the limelight.

It could be so frustrating when your relationship with your partner is constantly talked about every day. You will be in the limelight, and your relationship will be talked about on daily basis.

Pulling her to the sitting room, Shi Qiao was able to give her the long-expected hug. He had wanted to do that since she opened the door for him, but because she was quick with pulling her inside the house, he didn’t get the chance.

And as for what she just said, he didn’t refute it. Anything that would make her comfortable and feel at ease, he was willing to go through with it.

Meixu embraced him back, and they both shared a quick kiss.

As she let him go, she said, “I have a bottle of water for you.”

”I’m not thirsty, and I am not your regular visitor, so no need to feel bad about not serving me anything. If you are ready, let’s leave.” Shi Qiao said as he gently squeezed her palms.

”Sire, I am ready, let me get my bag,” Meixu said and quickly rushed into her bedroom to get her handbag.

A few minutes later, the couple was already on their way to their date location. There were smiles on their faces, with each having different reasons for their excitement.

Shi Qiao glanced over and saw the big smile on Meixu’s face, and he couldn’t help asking, “Why do you look so happy?”

”My boyfriend is taking me out on a date after a stressful week, of course, it’s something to be excited about,” Meixu replied.

Shi Qiao nodded, “let’s have the best date today,” He said

The rooftop Shi Qiao had booked, was that of an expensive restaurant. A meal there could run up to $2000, and so, not just anyone could come there to eat.

On arrival, the waiter escorted them to the rooftop. The whole time, Meixu was clinging to Shi Qiao’s arm like a gentle young lady who didn’t have any courage.

Shi Qiao was full of smiles with the reliance on him. Although his girlfriend had her own wealth, he was happy that she let him take care of her.

When they got to the rooftop, It was almost dark, but the most important thing was that Meixu loved the whole arrangement.

The rooftop setting was filled with romantic vibes, and Meixu couldn’t help falling in love over again.
