Chapter 146 - Fu Hua Gives An Excuse To Make Jia Li Come To His Bedroom

"Mum, I need to rest now, see you later." Fu Meixu said to her mother before leaving for her bedroom. And once she got to her bedroom, she phones Jia Li.

Jia Li was dressed and about to leave the house for the grocery store when she received Fu Meixu's call.

"I haven't seen you in a long time, when will you come back?." Fu Meixu asked.

"I will soon. How was your last filming, sorry I forgot to ask?". Jia Li said.

"It was fine. We will be having a dinner to celebrate the release, do you want to come with me?." Fu Meixu asked.

"Can you bring someone along?." Jia Li asked as she was starting to get excited.

"Of course, I can, any one of us is allowed to bring someone." Fu Meixu said like it wasn't a big deal.

Jia Li was interested to know what it would be like to see some celebrities and done with them, so she was quick to accept her idea, but before she could say 'Yes' she remembered how the relationship between her and Fu Hua was, and what he said to her before they got married.

He wouldn't like the media to know who his wife was.

"Jia Li, are you coming with me?." Fu Meixu asked after waiting for a while and not hearing her response.

"I would like to, but I can't." Jia Li replied.

"Is it because of my cousin? Don't worry about it, I will introduce you as my friend, nobody will ask you any question." Fu Meixu assured her.

"Okay, I will think about it." Jia Li said after a while.

If Fu Meixu introduces her as a friend, then there wouldn't be any problem, but she didn't know if it will be okay with Fu Hua.

After the call with Fu Meixu, Jia Li went to the grocery store to buy some vegetables, meat, and things for a hot pot.

When Jia Li returned, she sighed in relief, because it was so cold outside that she almost couldn't stand it.

After changing her clothes, she turned up the air conditioner in the house, so she could feel warmer quickly, and when she started to feel a little better, she turned down the temperature to the normal range, before going to the kitchen to make dinner before returned.

Fu Hua came back in time to meet the food 99% ready. And by the time he came out after changing his clothes, Jia Li was already serving the food.

"How did you do today?." Fu Hua asked.

Jia Li sat down after putting soup in his bowl ???? and replied, "Fine. I worked on my pending drafts and went to the grocery store."

Jia Li and Fu Hua had their dinner in silence, and when they were done eating, Fu Hua reminded her about their moving houses the next day.

"I have called the moving company, they will be coming tomorrow afternoon to move our things. Since you have to submit your assignment tomorrow, you can do that in the morning and come back on time."

"Okay, what about you? Will you come back from work at noon?." Jia Li asked out of curiosity.

"I won't be going to work tomorrow." Fu Hua revealed.

Jia Li thought it must be because they were moving house that he canceled his appointments for the next day.

Fu Hua helped Jia Li take the plates to the kitchen before leaving for his bedroom.

When Jia Li finished working in the kitchen, she went to her bedroom to rest. She didn't know if Fu Hua times her or it was a coincidence because he called her on phone 10 minutes later when she was done resting and about going to the workshop.

"Can you come to my bedroom to help me fold my clothes?." Fu Hua asked.

Jia Li didn't think too much about it and agreed to his request. "Okay."

Leaving her phone on the bed, she adjusted her sweater and wore her flip-flops before leaving her room for his own.

Jia Li knocked on the door, but she didn't receive any response, so she opened the door and peeped inside, but she didn't see Fu Hua. She even called out to him, but she didn't receive any response, so she walked in and closed the door without looking behind it.

As she made her way into the room, Fu Hua who was hiding behind the door, locked it with a mischievous smile on his face.

Jia Li heard the movement behind her and quickly turned with a vigilant look on her face. Seeing Fu Hua behind her, she was surprised.

"How did you... Have you been here?." Jia Li asked with a surprised gaze.

"Are you scared?." Fu Hua asked with a smile as he made his way towards her.
