Chapter 141 - A Move To Assist Her

"I will call Fu Hua and tell him to bring Jia Li back home because I miss him. If he doesn't listen to me, I will have to let the old man invite them over himself. I'm sure Fu Hua wouldn't be able to refuse him." Fu Hee said after much thought.

"That will be a good idea. Alright, don't forget to inform me if anything happens. I have to call Jun and explain things to her." Bai Fen explained.

After the call, Fu Hee threw her phone on the bed. She was still annoyed with the fact that the old man announced Fu Hua's marital status to the public and the latter didn't even do anything about it.

"Fu Hua, don't tell me you have accepted that girl?" Fu Hee muttered to herself with a frown.

Things would be made more difficult if Fu Hua starts to protect Jia Li just like the old man has been doing.

Back to Fu Hua's house...

Once their food order arrived, Jia Li helped to serve the dishes.

Fu Hua ordered so many dishes from the five-star hotel, and looking at the dishes arranged on the dining table, Jia Li felt that he went overboard with the ordering.

As they sat down to eat, Fu Hua explained when he noticed the way she was staring at the food.

"I didn't know what you would like to eat, so I ordered so many of them."

"Thank you!" Jia Li replied as she started to eat.

It looks like Jia was very hungry because she ate so much, and Fu Hua was surprised, be sure he hasn't seen her eat that much before.

'Did she have lunch at all?' He thought to himself.

After dinner, Fu Hua helped Jia Li to wash the dishes, while she went to the workshop to study.

"Do you need help with anything?" Fu Hua asked when he stepped into the room and saw her going through a thick textbook.

"No, I'm fine." Jia Li replied as she spared him a glance before glancing back to the thick textbook.

She had an exam the afternoon of the next day, so she had to study.

Fu Hua went to his desk to sit and began to work on a design draft.

Fu Hua was not as creative as Jia Li, but he was truly a master at creating the perfect dress, and he was very good at choosing the best materials to make a dress.

He was like a perfectionist that was good at perfecting people's works.

Fu Hua was currently focused on creating a masterpiece that would be released in the new year. Because he was a perfectionist, he has been working on that draft for the past few days.

Fu Hua was different from Jia Li who would sometimes throw so many drafts away before she gets the perfect one. He only makes use of one page of a sketchbook, but he can take more than three days to get the perfect design he wants.

After working for a while, Fu Hua glanced over to look at Jia Li who was now sewing, and that seems to be the dress she has been working on for a while.

Having sewed up the hand of the dress, Jia Li used scissors to cut off the excess thread on the dress, before rubbing her fists together.

Fu Hua noticed her actions and thought she was cold and so walked to her side with a cloak and put it on her shoulder.

Since it was Winter ?? now, the weather was extremely chilly with lots of snowfall, and currently, it was snowing heavily outside.

"Do you need help?" Fu Hua asked.

"No, thank you!" Jia Li replied as she adjusted the cloak on her body.

Fu Hua didn't believe that she didn't need help, so he took the half-finished dress from the table and took a good look at it.

Since Jia Li was always rejecting his help, he had to make a move to assist her.

When he saw the mistake she made with the stitch she used for the waist part of the dress, he frowned and immediately pointed it out.

"You used the wrong stitch here. Use the invisible/ladder stitch and it will look better..."

Jia Li paid attention and listened to the corrections he made.

"This is so tiring." Jia Li grumbled when he returned the dress to her.

"It's tiring, but your work has to be perfect. What's your goal as a designer?" Fu Hua asked.

"To make the perfect dresses?" Jia Li replied with her gaze on him.

"It's not enough, you have to improve your vision." Fu Hua said to her.

"Oh!" Jia Li muttered under her breath.

She knew that Fu Hua was right and making the perfect dresses was not enough, so she had to upgrade her vision.

"How many dresses were you asked to make for your projects apart from the assignment?" Fu Hua asked.

"We are yet to receive it. After exams, we will be given the task." Jia Li replied.

"Okay. Go back to work, I still have something I'm doing." Fu Hua said to her before going back to his desk to continue with his work.

Jia Li and Fu Hua worked late into the night before they went to bed.

Fu Hua succeeded in finishing his dress illustration, which was a great accomplishment.

The next day, Fu Hua sent Jia Li to school, and on his way to FJ, he received a call from Grandfather Fu.

"The house I prepared for you and Jia Li is ready, when are you moving in?" Grandfather Fu asked.

"When did you think of doing that?" Fu Hua asked. He believed that his old man wasn't someone to wake up in the morning and make a decision without something promoting his actions.

"When you and Jia Li got married, I planned to gift you two a bigger house later. But that girl had to come back and intrude into your house." Grandfather Fu replied.

"I see. I will take a look at the house first before I decide to move in." Fu Hua replied.

"You don't have a lot of time. Check the house today and move in before the weekend, then you can bring Jia Li over to the house." Grandfather Fu said to him.
