Chapter C25 – Taming the Horse

When the carriage is about to arrive at the Princess’s House, all of a sudden, they hear a noise ahead and the carriage stops. Yan Ling and Yan Shuang, who are sitting in the carriage, lift the curtain and ask what happened outside?

“Miss Ling, Miss Shuang. A group of people have gathered ahead, it seems that…” The coachman is a little hesitating. It seems that he wants to say something but stops on a second thought. 

“Why are there so many people? Isn’t it the Princess’s House? What is happening?” Yan Shuang frowns, a little impatient.

“Miss Shuang, it’s indeed the Princess’s House. It seems that those people are gathering because of Her Highness.” The coachman quickly replies.

This answer is fast, but this inexplicable content makes both Yan Ling and Yan Shuang frown slightly.

“Now that we’re here, let’s go down together and see what’s going on.” Yan Ling suggests.

Yan Shuang frowns, obviously dissatisfied, but she nods eventually without saying anything.

When they come close, they find that it is Princess Zhaoyan who is surrounded by many people. However, no one dares to move forward. Only one boy dressed like a footman seems to explain something there anxiously.

Yan Ling has sharp eyes, and she recognizes at a glance that it is one of Liang He’s servants. She has seen him several times when she was with Liang He before.

Because of the long distance, Yan Ling cannot hear what they are saying. She can only see that Princess Zhaoyan seems extremely irritated and she is scolding. The servants can only step back a few steps, just in the direction of Yan Ling.

“Ah, you are the Crown Prince’s footman, right? What’s going on here? Why are there so many people around?” Yan Ling sees him coming to her and couldn’t help asking.

“Miss Yan?” The servant is a little surprised, and then he made a grimace.

“You have no idea, my lady. Can you see the horse?” the servant points at the horse beside Princess Zhaoyan.

Yan Ling looks over there again. The white horse looks very tall and well proportioned. Its fur is slippery and bright, without any miscellaneous hair and its long mane is draped.

Yan Ling was the Crown Prince’s wife in her previous life. Naturally, she can recognize that is Liang He’s favorite horse named Yintong. Although the horse is the best, despite its bad temper.

In her previous life, the horse is too arrogant to be close with anyone except for Liang He and Yan Ling. Suddenly seeing the familiar thing, Yan Ling smiles nostalgically. 

“This is the Crown Prince’s horse. It’s called…” Yan Ling speaks with some softness which she doesn’t even realize. To be honest, she did develop a good relationship with Yintong.

“You are right, my lady. But his royal highness hasn’t given it a name yet.” the servant says.

Yan Ling is a little shocked and then feels relieved. Just now, the words “Yintong” almost blurted out.

Yan Ling changes the topic with embarrassment, “So, what’s the matter with the white horse?”

Hearing this, the servant grimaces again, and his voice is trembling. “The princess likes this horse, so she wants to try riding on it. However, this horse is awfully short-tempered. No one dares to touch it except for His Royal Highness

Yan Ling understands. The servant is afraid that the horse may hurt the princess. But according to the characteristics of Princess Zhaoyan, she would definitely not listen to anyone. She must get whatever she wants, which will put servants in a dilemma.

Ignoring the servant’s earnest gaze, Yan Ling continues to look at Princess Zhaoyan in the crowd. Yan Ling understands that the servant wants her to persuade the princess.

“Ah!” Suddenly, someone in the crowd screams. Yan Ling immediately turns to that direction and is shocked.

As expected, but the horse keeps struggling after Princess Zhaoyan got on. It seems that she can be thrown down any minute.

Princess Zhaoyan is a horse lover and she does have some horse-taming skills. But Yintong is much better than hers. In a short time, Princess Zhaoyan is a little unstable, and she could barely struggle to keep staying on the horse back.

The white horse couldn’t throw her down, and suddenly it becomes mad and rushes towards the crowd. It happens to be heading for Yan Ling.

The onlookers are all screaming and dispersing. Of course, Yan Ling would not stand there foolishly, she immediately backs away.

Yan Ling is just about to leave the range that white horse may rush to. Before she can breathe a sigh of relief, someone pushes her on the back, making her stumble forward.

Yan Ling manages to stabilize her body as soon as she finds the horse has bumped towards her. Yan Ling seems to have heard the sound of inhalation around her, and her mind went blank in an instant.

“Yintong!” Before Yan Ling responds, the name has just blurted out.

Maybe the white horse can perceive human emotions, or it likes the name. Anyway, Yintong stops in front of Yan Ling when she calls out the name,

All the people suddenly quiet down. Yintong calms down and rubs Yan Ling’s arm gently with its head. As for Yan Ling, she looks pale, and is unable to speak.

Princess Zhaoyan also knows that she almost runs into trouble. She quickly jumps off the horse back with a heroic landing posture when Yintong calms down.

“Are you ok?” Princess Zhaoyan is embarrassed. Although she doesn’t know Yan Ling, she knows that she almost causes collateral damage to her.

“Yes.” Yan Ling tries to calm down and nods at Princess Zhaoyan.

At this moment, a voice rang. The usual gentle tone now becomes a little more eager. Listen carefully, everyone can feel the anxiety and madness in it.

Liang He and Liang Yi were in the backyard. They just came indifferently from the backyard when they heard the report from a servant. Even if it is Liang He’s horse, it has nothing to do with him should anything really happen. Why should he be worried?
